We are a family of 4 (2 children aged 11 & 9) & arrived at Sherwood Dreams on 17th June and stayed for 2 weeks. This was our first all inclusive holiday.
The hotel was superb. Very very clean, spacious and the majority (98%) of staff were very friendly and helpful.
Upon arrival we were shown to the seating area opposite the lobby bar were we had to fill out some details and show our booking form and passports. This was done in an efficient manner.
We were then shown to our room which was a family room. (We upgraded after reading reviews in relation to the sofa bed, we are glad we did this as I didn't think the sofa bed was suitable for a child over approx 6-7 yrs). The room consisted of 2 bedrooms, 2 single beds then a double in the main room. The bathroom is situated between the 2 rooms. although this is open plan onto the smaller bedroom. The main bedroom having an interconnecting door. Both rooms had flat screen tv's and the room with the single beds had 2 large double wardrobes with a single drawer in each. In the main bedroom there were 2 bedside cabinets and also 2 further drawers next to the fridge. The fridge was re-stocked daily with 2 each of Pepsi, Fanta, sparkling water and bottled water and beers.
The room was also air-conditioned and had a balcony with 2 chairs and a small table .
TIP: after checking in go back to guest relations and ask for another room card. We did this so we could leave one card in the slot so the air condition stayed on throughout the day and night. Whilst we were there this was timed from reception: 7am-10am, 4pm-7pm, 10pm-1am. By leaving the card in constantly we always had a flow of air coming through the rooms.
Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis (apart from 1 day but I told reception and it was dealt with immediately).
The slides were fantastic and are ideal for young and old alike. They operated from 10am-12pm then again at 2pm-4pm although over the last weekend they were still on till 5pm.
The 2 lifeguards, Ekram and his friend were good fun too. There is a good timetable of activities taking place around the main pool area e.g water polo, aqua aerobics, pool games, table tennis, boccia, air rifle etc etc. The animation are ok, Lukmann (Look) was great and very enthusiastic although the others could do with being trained properly (Ozzy actually swore at my 9yr old which I found totally inappropriate considering he is part of this team).. They do try very hard on their shows but as a family we found the acts they brought in from outside the best. They had brazilian/african dancers, Street dancers with a bike act which was unbelievable. The beach party is one not to be missed especially with the foam party afterwards!!!
The only slight hiccup with this hotel was the food. After a week we were fed up of the same thing. Breakfasts, Lunch were the same every day,ok they do have plenty of choice at all meal times and I suppose this is to cater for all the nationalities staying here but this is the only thing that I would say lets the hotel down. Every evening there was a bbq aswell as food in the main restaurant but again this was repeated probably every 3rd day, choices were grilled chicken, doner kebab, doner chicken & fish along with stirfried veg & rice. There is also the snack restaurant which serves grilled chicken, spag bol, meatballs and freshly made pizzas & chips. The wave snack bar also served either doner kebabs or chicken kebabs on barms every day. The Gozeme (turkish pancakes) are delicious too. We ate at the 2 al a carte restaurants, both times I came away with an upset stomach (as did others too). I wasn't that impressed as the food is very similar, steaks were exactly the same in both with a weird curry sauce on top. For chikdren they served spag bol, chips and nuggets together on one plate although the staff did say they could have more if they wanted.
There are plenty of bars to drink at too although we always started at the wave bar which is situated right next to the playground and a few times a week they had entertainment on too. The mojitos are great as are the children's cocktails too. One thing that stood out at this hotel were the staff. They are very hardworking right through from the cleaners, gardeners, waiters, bar staff and a special mention to the lady (can't remember her name) on guest relations. My husband had to pay a visit to the pharmacy and came back with some medication. The guest relations lady kindly translated the instructions. She is very helpful with everyone. The pharmacy is only approx 10 min walk away, bare this in mind before contacting the hotel doctor who charges 100 euros!!
The games room inside the hotel is good although there is a charges for this. There are quite a few shops too within the hotel but their prices were very expensive compared with items priced at the market or bazaar. There is a drugstore which sold snacks, newspapers, suncream etc is also very expensive. I had run out of factor 50 but this shop wanted to charge me 29 euros for another bottle of suncream so I bought from the pharmacy down the road for 15 euros instead (or take plenty from home). Another thing to mention is over the course of 2 weeks we bought a few British newspapers which were priced at 2.50 euros but on one occasion the man in the drugstore tried to charge me more until I told him he had charged me cheaper previously! So beware as I'm sure they make up their prices as they go along. There is a market every Wednesday (turn left at the end of the road) and also a bazaar (turn right at the end of the road) where you can barter for your price. We took euros but they also accept turkish lira, US dollars & Sterling!!!!
Overall this hotel was great but could have a wider choice of different meats and fish every evening. I would come back but probably not for a few years as this was our first all inclusive holiday to Turkey.

Room Tip: Room 4203 has a great view of the slides, sea and the mountains.

My wife & I arrived at the Sherwood Dreams on the 13/06/12 for a 2 week holiday. After reading all the reviews which most were positive, we were still pleasantly surprised with the level of service & cleanliness of the hotel. The room was spacious with a double & a single bed & an extra fold out chair bed if required. The mini bar which was included in the all inclusive package was well stocked with various fizzy soft drinks, beer & water which was restocked daily. The open plan bathroom took a bit of getting use to but worked well with a smoked glass door to the shower & toilet. Yes as stated in other reviews the aircon is not the best but it does take the edge off of the heat. Most rooms have a side sea view which in all honesty was OK.
The main buffet restuarant was adequate with something to eat for everyone. We also ate at the international a la carte & this was exelent & included in the package.
The bar was the best at all the hotels I have stayed at in Turkey & there has been a few, the bar was open 24 hours & with a large range of cocktails local & international, beer, spirits & fruit juice all served with a smile.
The beach was a mixture of sand & shingle & we ended up buying some sea shoes in Belek for use when we went in the sea as getting in & out could be a bit painful on the soles of your feet.
The entertainment in the hotel ranged from shows & dance acts both by the entertainment team & outside acts in the anthitheatre & live music at the pool bar where you can sit & the staff will wait on your table at no cost.
Yes there is a lot of building work going on in the area but whilst you are in the hotel you do not here any noise or see that much work being carried out so it is no bother.
All in all we had a great holiday & would consider returning as this is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in the 12 years we have been traveling to Turkey.
I would recomend this hotel to families, couples of all age groups as there is lifts to all floors & the stairs can be used if you choose. However the younger adults might find the nightlife around the area a bit quiet but there is a disco in the hotel.

We arrived at sherwood dreams on 19/6/2012 check in took ten min and staff were very welcoming. We stayed in a family room which was spacious and clean. The air conditioning could have been a little better but this didn't really affect us.
The hotel staff were always very friendly and work very hard to ensure people are happy with every aspect of their stay.
The grounds and pool areas were fantastic, it was everything we could of asked for as my daughter is 6yrs old and we could get our sunbeds by the kids pool being able to watch her going down the slides and playing in the park ( although we did enjoy going down the bigger slides with her being big kids ourselves)
At the back of the hotel there is a path down to the beach where you can lie on sunbeds and have a go at water sports such as para gliding and jet skiing. I would advise that if going into the sea you buy some beach shoes or crocks as its full of pebbles which are a little harsh on the feet.
The food was always nice, lots of different choice each day, in the main resturant food isn't great for kids as my daughter is fussy so pasta and chips got a liittle boring, you can however go to the snack bar on the other side of the large pool where at lunch times you can have pizzas, burgers and grilled chicken which was also very tasty.
Kids disco and entertainment was good and the fun fair was free. You have to pay to go on the arcade games and have a go at bowling but prices are very reasonable. There is a few shops inside the hotel selling bags, jewlery etc. there is also a shop where you can buy papers, sun cream and snacks however the prices are very high. Kids will want sunbeds and rubber rings to play on and take down the slides, buy these things in a supermarket before you go as you will save a fortune. Everything is priced in euro which appears to be the preferred currency.

Overall our holiday was fantastic and we couldn't have asked for any better. We will definatley return to sherwood dreams again.

My family stayed at the hotel 16-23 June. We loved it. The Hotel is new, everything is nice and clean. The food was fresh and tasty. I have never seen so hard working staff. Everyone was polite and always smiling!
I don't understand the issue with the bathroom door - yes, it is an open space, but the toilet and the bath have their own doors, so just the sink does'n have one.
The animation team did their best to entertain us and the party on the beach was fabulous!
The Mohito in the Lemon bar was great! There were a lot of activities - dance, step aerobics, water ball, etc. The fitness center was really good one.
I didn't like the wotking time of the slides - 10-12a.m., 2-4 p.m., because in these hours the temperture was almost 40 degrees. I would prefer that the slides are open till 6 or 7 p.m. It's not quite true that the hotel is in the midlle of nowhere. It is near to the vilage of Bogaskent and 700m away from the hotel is the market place with a lot of shops - lether, juwells, food, souvenirs, etc. The bus stop to Belek and Side is 500m away from the hotel.

overall good family holiday

location isnt great bout 40mins from belek in a taxi and there are a few shops left and right of the hotel drive within a few mins walk x
