Firstly let me be clear the hotel is beautiful, very large (maybe to big to have a good atmosphere) and has 5* facilities including an optician on site should your glasses break etc. But as far as the ultimate all inclusive...it is not. Yes you have a mini bar in your room but only minimum soft drinks and water, if you want more speak to guest relations. The rooms are ok not like the raddison hotels here though, thankful for the aircon as I think I would have melted.
Ok so here are the high points... going with extended family then there is something for everyone a quiet pool that is very large and at one end the animation team are situated the other is peaceful. Then you have the water park (not for the faint hearted) our 8yr old loved it!
Plenty of bars and snack bars for lunch etc my favourite was the pattiserie for coffee and a sweet treat :)
Now for my warning its is not popular with the british but teeming with Rude Obnoxious Russians that are ill mannered and will take the food and cutlery right off your plate, cut in front of you when you are patiently waiting to get freshly cooked food, well my response to that was to give as good as I got and bit a few faces off like a bulldog with lipstick, after which we personally didn't have anymore issues.
The staff have limited english some very broken at best others more understood, we found being able to say please and thankyou in turkish got us a long way! They don't like the Russians either!
If you are looking for 5* ultimate all inclusive you won't get that here the setup is a little bit of a let down and no table service which we would have expected as well as international brands included, particularly with the price of the holiday etc. Dinner time is chaos but that is not the hotels fault is the calibre of clientele it is like they've never seen food and pile high their plates and waste it all!
Also families be warned the al la carte restaurants some are no children allowed now we we're celebrating a 10th wedding anniversary which we would have liked to have gone to the steakhouse as this is the only one that apealed to us and guess what no children!!!! Why??? What are we to do with our kids leave them in the room? Anyway we didn't partake in that experience and another disappointment to add the our list!
Now kids club don't cater for the English speaker but thats is again due to the popularity amongst the brits but its also hard for the kids to communicate their needs and wants. That being said my little charmer didn't have an issue with much of the staff as he spent the whole time learning turkish words and they loved that, but only went twice in the two weeks and we had to brib him to go the second time just so we could have a break from the madness of kids on holiday!
Please I know I've focused on some negative points but the hotel is lovely its just located in a secluded area and the beach is not great. The area is NOT Belek it is at least 20mins outside and there is very little there. If you need a chemist or some clothes shops it has them but limited.
We did enjoy our stay but not enough to want to return with our extended family. Think for the money we paid and what we thought we were getting that we should have gone to Mexico.
I will say if you have booked go with an open mind learn to say please and thank you and if you go in July ask for a room that faces away from the pool sides it will be cooler as the sun beems in all day long on the pool side and the temperatures have been extremely hot high 40s the whole time we were there, also visit the turkish delight shop in the hotel it is amazing :) I had to walk past it eveyday with a sample tray ;)
