If you want carry-out or delivery of a good pizza, you can't go wrong with Mark's. The staff is friendly, the delivery is prompt, and the pizza is the best in the area. The crust is firm without being hard and the sauce is just right - not too swwet and not too tart. There is a wide selection of toppings and an assortment of drinks. The wings are excellent although if you like them crispy you'll need to request that. We ordered from there many times and expect to keep doing so.

We were starving when we rolled in through Ovid, headed for our B&B on Cayuga Lake. Since we didn't know the area or where the restaurants were yet, we took our chances at popping in to this local pizza place. It was busy, which is usually a good sign. Not this day...

To be fair, this is meant to be a carry out and delivery place, so perhaps a whole pizza taken elsewhere would have been okay. As it was, we got three slices to share (two of us) and sat in the hot, uncomfortable, dirty seating section with two aging tables. In its favor, the slices were huge. What's the old saying.... "The bad news is that it isn't very good, but the good news is, there's plenty of it!"

The sauce was acidic and the toppings were scarce. A slice of cheese pizza should be about the cheese, but it was mostly bread. The crust was actually quite good, so maybe there's hope if you order a whole pie and ask for extra of whatever toppings you want.

But mostly I recommend just skipping it and going to the Copper Oven pizza at Cayuga Ridge winery, which we found the next day. You don't have to buy or even drink wine if you just go for the restaurant, so don't let that stop you!
