“A lovely weekend getaway!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

My boyfriend was in town from Australia and neither of us had ever been to the North Fork wineries. I wanted to plan a romantic weekend away and this was the perfect place for it. From the first email inquiry, Darolyn was pleasant and full of suggestions. She helped me plan a lovely weekend getaway.

The beautiful inn is in a great location. It is just a short Jitney ride from NYC and walkable distance from many wineries. My boyfriend and I arranged for early check-in so we could take advantage of the day. On arrival, we had a warm greeting from our hosts, Darolyn and Christopher. I can't say enough about these two... they pay attention to every detail to insure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. They keep the inn in impeccable condition. We stayed in the Harvest Room, which had ample space and a fireplace. The room was clean and we had all the necessary amenities.

Overall, we had an amazing stay. Breakfast was such a treat. Christopher is an amazing chef and accommodated my lactose-free request. I also enjoyed the conversation and story exchange with him, Darolyn and the other guests during our meal. It was a pleasure to be in the company of such great wine and food enthusiasts!

I would definitely recommend the Harvest Inn to anyone looking to stay in this area. I plan to stay there again when I return to North Fork.

Room Tip: The Harvest Room has a fireplace - perfect for colder nights.

We had a great weekend here! Great rooms, amazing breakfast. Darolyn and Christopher are fantastic - they really know their wine & had the perfect list of wineries & restaurants to attend! We especially enjoyed our wine tasting session with Christopher - learnt so much!

Highly recommend this B&B, especially if you are going for a winery getaway!

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at The Harvest Inn for his birthday weekend, and I cannot write enough great things about it! We had "Spring Celebration Package," so on our first night we were treated to a DELICIOUS four course meal prepared by Christopher. The wine was paired perfectly, and Darolyn made sure our wine glasses were never empty. We had a sound and comfortable night sleep in our immaculate and beautifully decorated room. The next morning our breakfast was just as delicious as our meal the night before! Darolyn and Christopher helped us plan our day over breakfast, and assured us that if we needed anything at all we could give them a call throughout the day. We visited a few vineyards they recommended, and then parked the car to do more wine tastings at the many vineyards you can walk to from the inn. The location is so great due to the proximity of many vineyards, for those of you who want to taste a lot of wines but may not want to drive afterwards. We returned to the inn for a wine and cheese tasting, where Christopher shared more of his knowledge about wines in the region. We took one of Darolyn and Christopher's recommendations for dinner, and of course were thrilled with everything about it! The next morning, we awoke to a delicious breakfast yet again.
We have not stopped talking about our trip since we got home, and already have friends and family asking us to send them information about the inn. We are very much looking forward to going back soon.

Inn in a beautiful house, in the midst of wine country

Christopher is very friendly, a wonderful chef, and quite knowledgeable about wineries and restaurants in the area.

All the rooms are immaculate and wonderful to relax in.

Room Tip: We had lovely room with jacuzzi tub

This place is so adorable! Inn keeper Christopher made us feel welcome and we loved our stay. He is also a wonderful Brekky cook! The breakfast was so good. Beds are comfortable and most important of all, very clean rooms and bathrooms! The area was great and we had a great dinner at Frisky Oyster. Will definitely stay here on a trip back! Thank you Christopher!

My girlfriend and I recently visited The Harvest Inn and had such a wonderful experience. This was our first trip to the North Fork area and after an incredible stay at The Harvest Inn, it certainly won’t be our last. The inn itself is beautiful and well-maintained with cozy common sitting and dining spaces that made you feel right at home. The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable as well. By far, the best quality about The Harvest Inn is the owners, Darolyn and Christopher. Christopher makes some incredibly delicious breakfasts (they certainly lived up to all the rave reviews by other guests) and his wine tasting on Saturday was a lot of fun. Darolyn was incredibly helpful both before and during our trip. She was able to set up dinner reservations in advance and made sure that the restaurants were able to accommodate certain dietary restrictions. She was also able to steer us to some fantastic shops and markets, and of course was spot on with the Wine recommendations. Both Darolyn and Christopher are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable hosts who truly do an amazing job at making sure all of their guests have memorable experience. Needless to say we can’t wait to come back!

While we are experienced travelers and wine enthusiasts, this was our first trip to Long Island's North Fork. Our stay at The Harvest Inn could not have been more enjoyable. It is a beautiful property and centrally located for wine tasting room visits and area restaurants. The inn is relatively new and beautifully maintained. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-appointed, and there was a very comfortable sitting room on the first floor as well as a large front porch with comfortable seating overlooking a vineyard across the road.

The owners, Darolyn and Christopher, are special people. They were very gracious and personable without hovering over their guests as B&B hosts sometimes do. As it was our first time there, they helped us with tasting room recommendations and restaurant reservations, and let us know what events were happening in the area that weekend. Breakfasts, prepared and served each morning by Christopher, were fantastic! Darolyn was always available to answer our questions and help us navigate the area. In short, everything we experienced there was first class and as we fell in love with North Fork wine country, we'll be returning soon!

Room Tip: We had a lovely, spacious and comfortable room in the front with a rocker, desk and chair, and large...
