My partner and myself (both in the travel business) stayed over the weekend of July 14th., We have travelled the world, and had not really experienced the B & B lifestyle, but as this location was in the heart of wine country, where we wanted to be, we decided to try a different experience.
To say that it is a home away from home is an understatement! In addition to a beautifully appointed room we were invited to enjoy the other rooms , all equally beautifully decorated, and very comfortable, including a library and full use of a desktop computer. Sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine, munching on the just made chocolate-dipped strawberries was an absolute highlight too!
Hosts Barbara and Mark were wonderful people who truly enjoy being "hosts" and bent over backwards to accomodate all of our requests, including trip planning, restaurant reservations, winery tours etc.
Breakfasts were gourmet; using locally produced fruits and vegetables, many from their own gardens.
Expect a warm welcome! We had driven for a horrendous 8 + hour from the Toronto area and not in the best of moods when we arrived, but, as soon as we arrived, Barbara and Mark came outside and gave us both the biggest hugs.............we were home!!More
