I just love Mainely lobster. My favorites being the seafood chowder, coleslaw, fried oysters and clams, seafood casserole and the seafood or chicken alfredo (though sometimes the sauce seems watered down and tasteless compared to other times I've had it and it was amazing). Of course they're pricey. It's seafood! They just need to adjust some portions for the cost.
Some things I do not like:
1. ) The lazy man's lobster. I love lobster and it is just that but, the size of what you get and the appearance that was presented in my to - go container upset me. It was served in a large styrofoam container with a very small lobster inside with a side of drawn butter. The lazy man's lobster is where they serve you everything out of shell so you don't have to do it yourself. For $23 I'd expect al least a decent sized lobster. It was very small and i was still hungry after the fact.
2.) The rolls and melts. I LOVE me a good lobster roll but there's are served on a hot dog bun. No hoagie buns in site! The melts are served on a hamburger bun. Not a bigger bun either, the small cheap ones you can pick up at the grocery store. For between $11 and $14 it'd be nice to have a decent sized sandwich to go with that price.
I order both take out and eat in. If you order to-go make sure and grab a menu from the restaurant. The menus online are not updated and offer foods they no longer have (jalapeño shrimp jammers, etc).
