I'm not sure the reviews below give this hotel enough credit. Or perhaps those reviewers are not used to life on the road...
I travel about 100 nights out of the year. Hilton Honors Diamond Member. Have been for three years. This is a pretty nice Hampton Inn compared to others I've stayed at. The rooms are clean, its either a new hotel, or a new remodel (it uses the new furniture and new layout that are found at all of the newer Hamptons).
Large flat panel television in the room. No high-def channels, but i'm sure that'll change soon. Great desk chair to work at, which only us business-folks enjoy, but honestly, having a horrible desk chair makes the hotel experience terrible.
Is there privacy in the bathroom? Well, the sink/dressing area does open up into the bedroom area, but come on, its a hotel. Were you expecting a large parlor to dress in to have privacy from your other person sharing your room? Your sharing a room for goodness sake.
The breakfast was good. Typical hampton breakfast, although they did have make-your-own waffles, which you only see at about 50% of the Hampton Inns. They of course had cookies for checkin, and popcorn in the evenings.
As a hilton honors diamond member, I was upgraded to a suite. Always a nice touch, even though its not "required" by HHonors policies.
Friendly staff and management. The morning and evening manager said hi to me in the hallways, and the desk staff were as accomodating as normal.
All-in-all, a very nice hotel. The price was on-average with other Hampton Inn's. Perhaps a bit on the higher side, but I've paid a lot more for a Hampton in major cities such as Boston, NYC, DC, etc... I'd certainly recommend this hotel to others, and take the reviews below with a grain of salt. (of course you're going to pay more on Parents Weekend... duh.)
