Very good food at reasonable prices. Very friendly atmosphere. Neighborhood restaurant and bar that has been in business for a very long time.

“great prices!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 October 2013

I went into Andy's, there were sixteen of us. They accommodated our large group eagerly! The server told us due to the economic crisis Andy's has lowered the prices on the menu for the customers! Wow they were right. Our Bill was less than 200.00 for sixteen an we all had drinks and appetizers. The portions were big and the food great. If you're in Poughkeepsie go to Andy's!

“Another Family Owned Restaurant tThat's Been Here For Generations”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2013

I always had lunches in this place going bak to the early 1980's. The sandwiches are so tasty and all the prices are low and affordable. The food is home cook style and always fresh. The popularity of this place is word of mouth and after trying it you'll be back. This is the opposite of all the chain type restaurants and it's what many try and duplicate.

“Standard Pub fare, service was fine”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2013

We ate here after walking on the "Walkway over the Hudson". The restaurant is located a couple of streets away from the parking lot of the walkway and you can see the walkway from the restaurant. There are a few parking spots in front of the restaurant and there is a larger parking lot across the street.

The staff was friendly and helpful, The food was good. We have Reubens, burgers and the appetizer of pierogi's and sausage and chili. I'm pretty sure the pierogi's were frozen and probably not home made. The chili was good. They used cut up pieces of american cheese for the topping. Blocks of cheddar would have been better. My reuben was fine, the other was a bit tough.

The outdoor seating is between a parking lot and the highway. Not much of a view. The inside seem dated but clean. The bathroom was clean. The bar is located in the middle of the dining room. And it appears to be a local hangout.

Overall, the food was fine. The location was ok. Service was fine. This is not 5 star dining but is certainly fine for a burger and fries.
