The food was very good and the staff was polite and friendly. After 1pm the bar turns into a 21 year old bar. It's not my first visit and I know is mostly a college crowd in Thursdays & Fridays.
Unfortunately many arguments and fights are a common occurrence. Last night was no exception. I have never seen so many police outside a bar just standing around waiting for things to occur. I'm glad they were there as we left though.
On another note Mahoneys needs to do something about the MA NY taxi drivers that take up mostly every spot in front of the restaurant. Shouldn't these spots be used for patrons?
Nothing against the cab drivers, but they stand in the stairwell yelling Marist students. .. Back to marist. . Back to marist! I go to bed hearing there voices. Honestly is makes Mahoneys look like a place people would want to stay away from.
I've used the free shuttle many times and in glad it's available when I need it. The driver is always polite and even waits for me to get inside before he pulls away. THANK YOU !
If the Mahoneys owner reads these reviews then I encourage you to pay attention to your front doors and see what I'm saying. Also look into why your bar is having more and more fights. In a 26 year old woman and I do enjoy stopping in for a bite and a few drinks. I could just as easily do this in the many other waterfront restaurants but I'm still choosing yours for now. It's only a matter of time before another major incidents takes place and scares people away.
