I was very disappointed! I have friends that have a permanent site here. If you are staying the weekend the sites are right next to the entrance and the traffic in and out of the park is crazy. The site was small, the pool was closed, you have to pay to use the showers and the beach has litter all over the place. A positive is that the grounds itself are decent and they had live entertainment.

My suggestion is if the park would like to keep people coming back they need to put the weekend campers in an area that is inviting!!!!! You may just get a few more people to want a permanent site for $2000-$3000 per year.

We stayed here for the first time in August. We were only supposed to stay for 3 nights but ended up extending our stay for 2 more nights. All we asked the staff when we booked was that we had enough room for a large Fifth Wheel, 2 large Labrador Retrievers and a Crew Cab Truck. We were in the wooded sites and had plenty of room for everything.
The resort is mostly seasonal but they have 2 areas reserved for transient campers. Everyone was friendly including the full-time people.
The lake and beach area were beautiful! We walked our Dogs in the evening out beyond the swimming area so as not to disturb anyone at the beach. Their Central Square was clean and had a lot of fun things to do, Pools, Game Room, Zumba, Crafts, Restaurant, etc. The Pizza at the restaurant was excellent and the Woman was very friendly! Everything was easily accessible by walking or biking.
The staff at the store was also wonderful. A gentleman helped us with questions regarding Darien Lake, a theme park a few hours away.
When you are out of the resort after the office closes you need to call security to gain access to the resort. One night we were going to be late so we called ahead of time and the security guard was terrific. He said not to worry, just give him a call when we got there and he would drive up and let us in.
We will definitely visit again!

This place doesn't deserve the poor, and false may I add, reviews against it. The walk to the beach, the beach itself And all areas of the campground are well kept. The staff members are so friendly and easily remember people, which is nice. The sites are spacious leaving plenty of room for my two Labradors to roam around.don't listen to the negativity against Brennan beach because it truly is a great place to stay, I can't wait to return :)

As in the other reviews this is mostly a seasonal resort but for what you pay and get you can't go wrong. We stayed for a week starting on Saturday, campground was packed and busy but at quiet time everyone around toned it down to just low talking at there campfires. After the weekend was over the place was pretty quiet, pools were opened and so was the beach with life guard protection the staff and campers were friendly except one crab in our row but you always have one of those. The restrooms were cleaned 3 times a day and the place was clean, with all the sites the grass was cut and pretty well maintained considering its size. All the sites have full hookups. (sewer, water, electric &cable tv with lots of channels) We will be going back andwe stayed in the wooded section closer to the beach.
