“Good stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 March 2014

We stayed here 3/13-3/15 for a place to rest after our Drift boat Steelhead fishing trip on Friday 3/14. Linda had a quick breakfast ready for us early Friday morning, serve yourself style from the kitchen. Enough to get us going early, before leaving for our fishing trip. Came back to wonderful homemade soups and breads, all of which we almost couldn't stop eating, warming us up after being out in the cold all day. Room was very spacious and the comfy bed helped us recouperate after a long day on the water. Linda is a great host and great cook. "Teeka" the cat was equally as good a host! Will definitely consider coming back and staying to go cross country skiing & fishing again next year.

Our club has taken this entire house for a weekend many years now. The house consists of several rooms with different configurations but it is always comfortable with all needs met. They provide us with evening soups, fantastic breakfasts, and a most amazing Saturday dinner. It is cosy and friendly, and no request is too much. Plenty to do in the area, especially if you like to play on the snow.

We've been coming to the 1880 House for eight years. We're cross country skiers and can count on the Pulaski area for snow even when the rest of upstate NY has none. The other thing we can count on is a warm welcome from the 1880 House. Linda has created a welcoming atmosphere for everyone at her B&B. In the winter it tends to be cross-country skiers and in the spring, fishermen. Linda and her family have soups on the stove for your arrival or your lunchtime break. I have trouble deciding whether Cuban Black Bean, Italian wedding soup, or tomato basil is my favorite. Dawn's breakfast crepes, filled with spinach, mushrooms, bacon and cheese were my favorite breakfast treat this year but the menu includes oatmeal, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, etc. for those who are less self-indulgent. We shared the house with skiers from the Rochester outdoors club and they invited us to play games and join them for hors d'oeuvres at the end of the day. Or, if games are not your cup of tea, sit by one of the fireplaces with a good book, browse the DVD collection for a favorite movie (we re-watched Casablanca), or use the wi-fi that's available throughout the house. The 1880 House is a great getaway and Linda and her family make it that way.

My husband and I stayed here after a long day of snowmobiling and we were welcomed by very friendly staff/guests and the wonderful smell of fresh home made soups and breads!! Linda was very accomodating and her food was beyond delicious!! Felt like you were being "pampered" in the comforts of your own home!! Can't wait to go back!!!

Room Tip: Each room has it's own "theme" and they are all awesome!! Not a bad word to say about...

My friends and I travel to Pulaski twice a year - once for salmon season in the fall and then for trout in the spring. We do everything we can each time to book a place at this lovely B&B. The fact that we can't always get a space is just one testament to how great a place this truly is. There's nothing like finishing a long day of fishing with a bowl of warm soup, some fresh baked bread, and great conversation with your hosts Linda and Dawn. You just feel comfortable there. And you can be as private or as social as you'd like. Your choice. No pressure. We love having dinner there. The food is excellent. Better than any of the restaurants we've been to locally. It's truly an amazing bargain. Those dinners are a great place to swap fishing tales and otherwise talk shop. Or to not talk fishing at all. It's really that kind of a relaxed place. If I had my way it would be the only place we'd stay while in Pulaski.

It's that special time of the year.....1880's House and steelhead fishing on the Salmon River.Once again, our home away from home, the best bed and breakfast I have ever encountered,
reigns supreme. The fishing is world class, but the hospitality of mom and daughter,Linda, and Dawn,is even better, as ever. Lucky, the retriever rescued by the family,is one beautiful fit, even
in the opinion of the ruling house cat, Teka. The stews, homemade soups and fresh baked breads and muffins, are guaranteed to warm the hearts and innards of every guest, with an extra special gourmet dinner option available also. This is THE ONLY REALLY GOOD PLACE TO STAY IN
PULASKI.....and we loved every moment on the river and at this wonderful inn.Few things in life
bring greater joy.....and keep gettin' better all the time.

Room Tip: all good but our 4 some favors room 6....2 room suite with a door that opens to the main street in t...
