“Great for Vegetarians”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

I've never been disappointed with the food I order at Rusty's! I love that they put an emphasis on farm fresh and local foods, plus there just aren't that many affordable vegetarian-friendly eateries in the area, so right off the bat I'm happy. The roasted vegetable goat cheese wrap is excellent- flavorful and entirely too filling! Sweet potato fries are a bit insubstantial, but I usually prefer regular fries anyway.
I drool over the cupcakes each time I visit, but have yet to try them. Maybe next time!

“A real attempt at local foods”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

I love the idea of this restaurant and I keep going back hoping it will get itself together. The food is pretty good, healthy without being inaccessible to ordinary folks. Very veggie friendly. Also gluten free friendly. The service is extremely variable. Sometimes ok and inexperienced and sometimes inexcusable bad. (How about serving your (hey Dude!) friends before people waiting for a long time. How about wiping down a table part way and leaving the rag on the table along with several dirty dishes so no one can sit at the table). The food is better than the ambience. The place used to be a sales room for floor tile so it's a strange array of different tiles which would be funky and ok but then putting an odd collection of pictures on the wall changes the funky floor into an uncoordinated, disheveled look. I could do with out a TV as well. The bathroom usually needs cleaning. I just wish the concept and the food were better matched by the service and the physical setting.

“Atrocious Farm Fresh Cow Dunk”
Reviewed 4 December 2013

Service was atleast an F Food was much worse. Soggy cold or luke warm sandwiches with too much dressing that taste awful. Place used to be good the first few months it opened but seems to have fallen to into the money trap..."try to sell as much garbage at high prices and hope no one finds out" trap. So many great places in hudson valley to eat, no need to go here, absolute garbage

“Good Little Place”
Reviewed 6 October 2013 via mobile

While waiting for a movie to start at the theater nearby, we stopped in to Rusty's. It's simple, unpretentious and we had a very good chicken Caesar salad.

“This place tries really hard....”
Reviewed 30 September 2013 via mobile

The Corn Chowder Soup was warm but even at that it was fine . Service is great. The Veggie Burger slides off the bun, seems to be slippery but good. Try the fried Zuccini is perfect. Prices are a bit high but I will say that Rusty's is the Blackbirds Hairshirt.
