We stayed at this park and what makes it great is the fact almost every site is right on the water. The staff is friendly and washrooms clean. It is only minutes from Alexandria Bay. We will be back.

We stayed one night with our 8 and 5 year old boys. The park is small and is great for kids. My boys had fun. We WILL go back again. Swimming and fishing was great for them. The staff was friendly and the campground was clean.

small state park, but pretty. Campsites are nice, just be careful which one you get. Many have massive granite surfaces throughout park. Beach is small, hiking trails are limited. About 20 minutes from Alexandria Bay. Wellesley Island State Park bigger, better campsite options, and better hiking trails & things to do.

We camped the week of Memorial Day. This park is absolutely stunning. You are surrounded by the St. Lawrence and the sunrises and sunsets are incredible. The campground is kept clean as are all the facilities. The staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. There are lots of things to do in the area. Boldt Castle was really great - you can spend a good part of the day there. Alex Bay is a fun little Town, although I prefer Clayton. We rented a pontoon boat and spent the day on the river. The fishing was ok, the men actually caught enough perch for a terrific fish fry (yes, we had a fryer!). All in all, it was a perfect vacation. This is the second time we have camped here (we go camping twice a year) and our fellow campers have also been very respectful and friendly which makes for a better time. We can't wait until next year.

What a beautiful state park! We rented a two 4 person cabins each with 2 rooms, a sleeping area with 2 bunkbeds and a main area to hang out with a table and chairs, heater and a fridge. We had to bring our own cookstove. What makes this place so beautiful is that it is completely surrounded on 3 sides by the St. Lawrence Seaway. Our first morning fishing (we went as a group of old fishing buddies but it would certainly work for a couple or small family) we witnessed an eagle swoop down and grab a fish that my friend was reeling in. Quite a sight! We went in September and the weather was 70's during the day and 50's at night (just right for a campfire) and we were right on the shore. Swimming was available but September is a little cool for me. Anyway it was a very relaxing time by itself or you can try some of the activities (like a boat ride to Boldt Castle which sits in the middle of the St. Lawrence River) in Alexandria Bay (or golfing at one of the picturesque golf courses. Great way to spend a week of vacation.
