My partner and I dined at Arielle a couple of years back and had a pretty bad meal. We avoided it at all cost but decided to go back again after being assured by a couple of friends that things have changed and they have hired a new chef and also a new management.
Sad to say, it's still pretty bad.
Arielle seem to have an identity crisis. Is it Italian? Is it French? In the end, it really does not matter as both cuisines were terribly represented. The squid ink pasta tasted like something that came out of a box, the seafood was overcooked, the duck was so dry and tasteless, there was no wine list, the escargots were served without the shells and bland....I could literally go on. The only thing that made the dining experience bearable was the bread they served and the service.
For better value and much, much better food, try the Local, Le Petit, Gigi's or Terrapin.
