My partner and I dined at Arielle a couple of years back and had a pretty bad meal. We avoided it at all cost but decided to go back again after being assured by a couple of friends that things have changed and they have hired a new chef and also a new management.

Sad to say, it's still pretty bad.

Arielle seem to have an identity crisis. Is it Italian? Is it French? In the end, it really does not matter as both cuisines were terribly represented. The squid ink pasta tasted like something that came out of a box, the seafood was overcooked, the duck was so dry and tasteless, there was no wine list, the escargots were served without the shells and bland....I could literally go on. The only thing that made the dining experience bearable was the bread they served and the service.

For better value and much, much better food, try the Local, Le Petit, Gigi's or Terrapin.

My husband and I had a very nice dinner at Arielle. Food was excellent. Cozy dining room, but tables a little too close for comfort. Don't like sharing conversation with tables nearby.

A cozy restaurant with an interesting French menu. We ordered a variety of food and were happy with all of our selections, crazed short ribs, duck breast, duck confit, and spaghetti carbonara were all great. Staff were very friendly. But for lacking a few items on the menu (which our server notified us of) and a longer wait for our food, everything was great. Would recommend this to other travelers.

Six of us enjoyed a wonderful French/Mediterranean dinner at this elegant, warm and comfortable restaurant in the middle of charming Rhinebeck. The service was attentive and knowledgeable and we enjoyed our meals of grilled octopus, various salads, braised beef short ribs, succulent duck breast, pan-seared scallops, and juicy roast chicken. All in all a marvelous dinner.

Have been here several times for lunch, which we enjoyed, so thought we would try dinner. We were seated in what appears to have been a porch that was enclosed. The room alternated between cold (it has a cement floor and it was Winter, so our feet were very cold) and hot. When the heat came on, it was extremely loud to the point that it became funny because we could not hold a conversation across the table when the blower was on. We asked to be moved to the other room, as we were the only ones in this room and there appeared to be a number of empty tables in the other room. We were told that every other table in that room was reserved (really?). Have not been back since. There are enough good restaurants in the area that we do not need to return to this one.
