The fall foliage is not the best this year, but the and service in the Tavern of the Arms is not to be missed. Ask for Colin as your server. Any recommendation he makes for your entree, take it !
The meat loaf preceeded by the Mac and Cheese is not to be missed.
This is the oldest Inn in this country. It is is not to be missed.

Wonderful atmosphere filled with history. If you don't want a meal, go for a drink. Several different rooms, we ate on the sun porch. Good variety of lunch options. Food was good, very nice service. Will try dinner next time.

This ancient and honorable inn offers 4 dining rooms, and we chose a glassed-in outdoors extension for a delightful lunch of soup and sandwich. We enjoyed a Reuben and a chicken curry sandwich as well as delicious homemade soups and a Caesar salad. A side dish of Macaroni and Cheese with bacon was a tasty addition, too. Besides the usual drinks they offered a nice selection of beers on tap. All in all a fine spot for lunch and, probably, for dinner.

We were driving from Hyde Park to Hudson and decided to stop at the Tavern at Beekman Arms, the longest consistently operating Inn in the US. It is a beautiful setting.
We sat at the bar in the Tavern, we enjoy sitting at bar venues because you can chat with the bartender who is usually entertaining and knows about the history of the area.
The Tavern has an incredible historic ambiance. Beautiful wood work throughout, just amazing. The food and service were excellent. My wife ordered the French onion soup and the Kale salad. The onion soup is one of their specialties and deserving of praise. The kale salad was also excellent. She also order the green tea as a beverage. I usually don't enjoy green tea preferring stronger flavor, but this was the best green tea I have ever tasted. I ordered the French Dip and I loved it, the a jus was fabulous and not too salty and the roll was perfect for this sandwich. When we are in the area it will be an easy decision to return.
