“Excellent Stay!”
Reviewed 18 February 2014

First of all, I would like to say that my boyfriend and I stayed here on a LivingSocial Deal that included dining credit and a winery tour! Once we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised.

Location - The Hotel is literally around the corner from the Outlets. This makes it an excellent location for shopping. Additionally, it's a drivable distance to the wineries! The best part of all, if you don't want to drive to the winery, no problem, the hotel offers a shuttle on the hour!

Facilities - We dined at the restaurant on site and decided it was decently priced. They have a lot of options for wines and their flat breads are delicious! Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the pool because it was outdoors. Swimming in 15 degree F weather was not appealing to us. The gym was nice and so was the conference room. They were both very small but functional for your needs.

The Room - We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious the rooms can really be. I understand it's NY and it's expensive/small, but the space was maximized as much as possible. The rooms were sparkling clean! The only complaint I had was the shower, since it was a stand -in shower without a curtain. The entirety of the bathroom was soaked due to the lack of curtain. I guess this is the thing. =(

All in all, we were very happy with the accommodation, despite the restroom facilities. The staff was very nice and friendly. The restaurant/bar staff were even friendlier and funny! We enjoyed our stay and the wineries they recommend are really nice! Maybe next time we can go to more than one winery in the area!

The hotel is beautiful. It is clean, and modern looking, with a great restaurant (which I will review in another post). We had to wait a little bit to check in because there were a few couples in front of us, and only two staff members working the desk, but that was fine...we didn't mind since everyone was so friendly.

We booked our room through Groupon, so we could not specify our needs (wheelchair accessible room). It was no problem at all, when we arrived, they asked what type of room we needed and granted us with just that. Our room was on the first floor, close to the lobby and the restaurant, but far enough that we didn't hear any commotion once inside.

The door was nice and light, with locks down low and up high which was great. Both my husband and I could easily navigate in and out. Once inside we realized the room was small. This is always an issue when traveling with a wheelchair because it makes moving around more difficult. It wasn't terrible since it is winter, and we wouldn't be heading outside into the snow for any of the outdoor attractions, but my husband could not get past the bed and to the door in his chair if had wanted to (there is a beautiful pool, fire pit and outdoor seating area outside for warmer weather). The bathroom was spacious and all of the rails on the wall were located in the perfect spots, but according to my husband, the shower could have been a little bit wider. Water was going everywhere when he showered, making it unsafe when got out. Overall, the experience was a good one. The parking lot and walkways were plowed/shoveled and we were able to easily get to and from our car.

My husband and I stayed here over President's weekend for a little wine tasting for his birthday. Everyone was gracious and the hotel was clean and warm. We stayed based on a Living Social deal so we had free passes to a winery as well as a $25 credit toward their restaurant Bistro 72. The hotel provided shuttle service to any winery within 5 miles. We stayed in a handi-capable room on the first floor. The room only had an area rug - so bring slippers or flip flops if you hate cold floors in the morning. Bistro 72 far exceeded our expectations! The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. You have to try the pretzels - even as a snack. Freshly made with both a mustard and a cheese dipping sauce. The hotel is also right next to the Tanger Outlets in case you are interested in some retail therapy. My husband and I are definitely going to go back when the weather is warmer so we can enjoy the outdoor bar and fire put area.

This hotel was lovely - my mother and I only stayed for one night but I would definitely return. It would be very romantic for a nice getaway. The restaurant was great, we especially enjoyed breakfast. We visited in winter but I would like to return another time in the fall or summer to enjoy the outdoor patio.

The Hotel Indigo is a renovated Best Western type hotel with basic infrastructure but clean, new design and excellent, friendly staff. Though prices are Manhattan level in the bar and restaurant, the modern lodge-like rooms are a comfortable value and could be slightly more welcoming with two complimentary waters upon arrival instead of the strange $3 waters found on the bed.

I imagine the large outdoor pool and dining terrace are also something special in the summer.

It was a girls weekend. We checked in at noon. Our room was upgraded to pool facing room. Front desk was so helpful. Our rooms were chic, modern, and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The showers had great water pressure. We went shopping and returned for dinner. In river head not many choices for great food....Applebee's , Fridays .we wanted a nice resteraunt with good food.
We decided to go back to hotel and eat at the Bistro. What a beautiful place.... We sat near the fireplace. Our waiter was so nice , the food was a amazing. Menu had lots of choices from fish, chicken, duck, meat, and vegan. Lots of options. The food was very fresh. Salads were crisp and dessert was yummy. The next morning we woke up to snowstorm. We had massage appointments at 10am. The two ladies were super, very professional. Spa was small, but very relaxing. Go and get pampered!! We later requested a late check out, they let us stay until 2 pm. We decided to eat lunch at bistro 72. The manager sat us near fireplace. Warm and cozy on a snowy day. We ordered the pizza and vegan wrap. Simply delicious !! The manager Jeffrey was so nice, very professional. Always came to our table to see what else he can help with. He offered us free wine, and then gave us sorbet from local winery. The food here is a real treat. I wish I knew about this resteraunt before. Great food, great staff.... Booking another getaway for next month. Loved this place in every way. It's a perfect 10/10;))

We stayed on a Sat. and we were happy with the hotel.
We asked for a quiet room and we were placed on the
second floor which was really nice.

The hotel is really near the Tanger Outlet and at least 25
minutes to the winery.

The 2 queen beds are comfortable and room's size is really adequate.
Our room is clean and the sheets are soft .

There is also a Keurig coffee maker and the coffe is free
but not the 2 bottles of water.

We went to a winery that evening and we really did not
see the show/concert held at the lobby.

We were supposed to bring our dog but decided not to.
There is a $50 surcharge if we have brought our dog.
