Long Island Aquarium is a nice place to visit. It's a bit on the expensive side for the size of it, but I guess they have to charge a lot to keep all the animals well maintained. I was very disappointed that they got rid of the Sulcata tortoises and replaced them with the World of Darkness - bats, a sloth and a few porcupines. The Butterfly exhibit was terrific. Nice environment for the butterflies. A highlight of the visit is feeding the stingrays in the tank near the entrance. However, $3 for a hot dog holder a quarter filled with little dead fishies,is excessive. Size wise, I would say it's manageable for people with kids because you can really see everything in about 2 1/2 hours.
