What a pleasant surprise. Every part of the day was spectacular. We had beautiful weather and we all enjoyed the aquarium. All of the staff was well trained and knowledgeable. All of the exhibits were clean and attractive. We had a wonderful lunch at the adjoining hotels restaurant. Kids particularly enjoyed the tidal pool exhibit where they were able to take off their shoes and experience underwater creatures up close and personal. We have been to many aquariums before and have never seen this. They loved the touch tanks as well. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was that the sea lion show that was scheduled for the end of the day was cancelled. A bit pricey but not more so than any other aquarium and similar attraction. We will definitely go back to do some of the other adventures (snorkeling and shark experience) that need to be planned prior to visiting.

This would be of interest to adults and children. There are areas that allow patrons to touch the shells and sea creatures. The sharks were great and so were the penguins.
Don't miss the butterfly area, bird and reptile areas too. Don't miss the sea lion demonstration outside.
We paid the extra and took the boat excursion down the river to a sandbar. The narration was excellent on the way down and back and we got to explore on our own for a while.
Worth the money.

From the outside the Aquarium looks smaller than it is. There are many different exhibitions inside and outside exhibits and shows include sea lions and penguins. There was a pretty good size shark tank as well. The aquarium is famous for all of its coral. I had the opportunity to take a "behind the scenes" tour which, while not nearly as aesthetically pleasing, sure gave me an insight into just what it takes to run a facility such as this. This is a terrific Long Island attraction. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And, if such a thing is possible, the fish seemed pretty happy as well. The penguins loved the place as well as all the attention they received.

A nice place to see if out in riverhead or touring the forks of Long Island. Good selection of exhibits. Sea lion show is a must.

From the outside, the LI Aquarium looks so small. However, once you enter there is so much to explore. I like to take my kids here. I usually do this off-season when there is less crowds around.
