I’m normally not a fan of any self-proclaimed “wine region.” If it’s not France or Chile or California, I’m skeptical. Usually, the quality of wines are mediocre and the “region” usually is a marketing hype by some pathetic tourist office. I was prepared to be completely underwhelmed by the Finger Lakes Wine Region. I was dead wrong.
We drove the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail and stopped in at the Knapp Winery (reviewed separately) for a tasting and lunch.
The Finger Lakes Wine Region is charming!
