As my title states, this is a beautiful Frederick Law Olmsted work nestled on a Rochester hillside. If you are not familiar with the name, he also designed much of n

“A wonderful destination rain or snow”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 January 2008

Highland park is a haven in the early may month for Lilac lovers. The scent of the flowers carries over several miles. The festival called Lilac Festival has been visited by people all over the world. Fabulous food vendors, musical performances, crafts for sale and of course, you can buy your own lilac bush to take home. The park itself is peaceful and beautiful anytime of year. The arboretum here is quite old and is like visiting a tropical paradise. The park provides ample parking, picnic tables, walking paths and grassy lounges to satisfy anyone. Definitely worth a day out of your vacation to visit this emerald gem in Rochester, NY.
