We are the Family of an RIT Student; have always stayed in the Radisson (close to RIT) but last time we were there, the pool was closed, the room felt dank, and the staff was indifferent.
Echoing what others have said about Staybridge (clean, quiet, get a river view) I will add: You are an easy & quick drive to RIT, plus, for those who have never stayed in a suite, the kitchenette is a great option -- you don't have to eat out 3 x a day, can make your own coffee (w/real milk you keep in the fridge) while waking up, and heat up leftovers for lunch from your big dinner out the night before. The veranda is a huge plus -- we enjoyed several evenings out there with a glass of wine - plenty of room for all, very laid back and comfortable feeling. There is a long river walk for your morning exercise, plus a pool for the kiddies & fitness center for Mom & Dad. In a tough neighborhood that is on the mend, so do keep your car locked & don't leave valuables inside.More
