Susan B. Anthony Home is located just West of the Downtown Rochester, New York. I called to confirm the hours of operation (opens at 11:00) and got great driving directions. The home is located in the original Victorian neighborhood. The home is pretty much as it would have been when Susan B. Anthony, her sister and mother lived in the home. The house next door is the museum entrance and they have a very small parking lot. There is a small exhibit museum and gift shop in the building next door. The tours are lead by docents and the home is full of period pieces and some actual Anthony family furniture, pictures, clothes, the famous alligator purse she carried and other items. The tour takes 45-60 minutes including the "office" on the 3rd floor used by Anthony and her secretary and members to share the women's suffragette movement. Very informative, interesting connections to other movements and leaders of the day (Underground Railroad, and temperance) A History buff's dream. Reasonable entrance fee, discounts available ( seniors, etc.)
