Eating at Wegmans, especially the cafe on Monroe Avenue (which is really in Pittsford) is an amazing experience. You can get almost anything you want from one of their many, many food bars, whether hot or cold or any ethnicity under the sun. For the most part, the food is laid out on hot and cold food bars, which may contain entrees and side dishes that are Chinese, Thai, Mexican, "American," or others. They have cold bars that have endless salads, with fruits and vegetables to suit any pallat.
Behind the food bars are seafood counters, sushi counters (where they make your sushi to order), specialty subs, and tons more. Want a fresh bowl of corn-crab chowder or a specialty Greeks salad prepared to your own personal taste? No problem...it's all there.
One of the only downfalls to this whole arrangement is the price...it is a bit on the costly side, with most of the food bars in the range of $9.99/pound. But in my opinion, it's well worth the price. If you eat here more than 3-4 times, you can expect to see Danny Wegman himself wandering the front of the store, as he keeps a pretty tight eye on the whole business.
This is a fun and VERY good place to eat. Be aware that the parking lot is huge and usually filled, so you may have to walk a way from your parking spot. But once again, it's all worth it!
