Huge museum with lots for adults and kids of all ages. It would be nice to have presenters demonstrate games in the collection throughout the day.

When my wife mentioned "kid's museum" I internally groaned as I thought I would be stuck staring at my iPhone while the kids ran around a boring kids museum. Not the case!

The Strong has something for everyone and for all ages! From a kid's sized Wegmans, internal track and train ride, Sesame Street, comic books, superheroes, and the largest collection of video and arcade games, you can easily spend the day here.

Parking in their lot is free if you arrive early enough. You do have to pay for tokens to play the arcade games but it's very inexpensive ($1 for 5 tokens) and fun for everyone.

Took my 5 and 11 year old here on a Saturday. This place was huge and had so many different exhibits. My five year old loved the mini Wegmans Store while my 11 year old enjoyed playing the vintage arcade games. I would suggest this for ages 3 to 8. It is well maintained. The food court was great for families with young children- Pizza Hut, Subway, Taco Bell and an Ice Cream shop. Only downside was that it cost 70 dollars for the four of us (which included the butterfly experience) so not a place to stop unless you plan on making a whole day of it.

We have been here a few times when we are in the Rochester area and our daughter always has a great time. It's large and clean with lots of activities and you don't feel like there are other families right on top of you which has happened to us at other children's museums. The Sesame Street area is really fun and the wegmans market is always a favorite as is the carousel. Definitely a must visit when in the area.
