I knew I had missed the last food truck rodeo but I went along on a Sunday for what was advertised as a giant garage sale and a pet show.
My first surprise was that I assumed there would be a food market too... Wrong.
My second was that the giant garage sale was n't very giant. A very high proportion of the sellers were dealers and the stuff on sale was a load of tat with a few mildly interesting vintage bits and bobs. That said I bought a couple of old newspaper ads to frame and some dvds. Total expenditure $13. The good news was prices were low!
The pet show was just a row of stalls offering cats and dogs for adoption or advertising vets, pet food etc. the main attraction was Dan the Snakeman with his small collection of reptiles. The only thing that made this interesting was the enormous number of gorgeous dogs that visited with their humans, don't think i've ever seen so many breeds in one room... Doubt many of them were rescues.
So overall not what I'd been expecting or hoping for but it was a reasonable way to pass an hour or two and I will go back for the food market which i've heard is crazy on a saturday and the food rodeo which sounds amazing.
