“fun for picnics”

The antique carousel is delightful, featuring even some non horse animals, (but only the horses go up and down). there are a lot of memorial trees with plaques from Charlotte high students who were also soldiers killed in the first world war. there are lots of shelters for picnics, and the ontario beach pier is not a bad place to watch a sunset or enjoy the lake waves. swimming however is often not an option due to environmental concerns and lifeguard shortages.

This is a beautiful and historic carousel in a lovely setting right next to Lake Ontario. The price is just $1.00 and a real bargain when you see the faces of the children riding it. If you go to this beach be sure to check out the carousel.

Wonderful view on the pier. Nice meeting people from other countries. So many beautiful people enjoying the view across from Canada.

Wonderful and clean. It's extremely beautiful and what all beach parks should be and want to be. The water was clean and blue and the day sunny. We walked the pier and it was a great view.

After visiting family in Rochester, we decided to take a ride along Lake Ontario. We spotted the sign for this park and decided to make a visit. It was a very foggy day so there were few people around. First we went into the Terminal Building where they have a Cheeburger, Cheeburger and a sushi restaurant. Our next object was the very long pier that separates the Genesee River fro the lake many birds and several fishermen. We wandered around the park noting the bandstand and picnic pavilions. The beach appeared clean but I understand there are problems, on occasion, with water quality. There also appears to be other things to do in the area outside the park
