Cracker Barrel, Rochester New York, I-390 at Hylan Drive (about 1 mile north of the I – 90 Thruway).

We stopped here for dinner August 16 after shopping and had the best waitress ever. Patti was attentive without being annoying, very friendly and prompt. It wasn’t any more than 5 minutes after ordering she brought our hot dinner to the table. The Campfire Beef is a must try. It is fork tender sirloin that has simmered all day in tinfoil along with a cob of corn, carrots and potatoes. My friend had the daily chicken and rice special and loved it. We had 2 full dinners, 1 side vegetable, 2 root beers and, 2 mug sundaes for $30.00 and change.

The restaurant is partially hidden by trees and Comfort Suites. From the off ramp follow to Hylan Drive and you will see the restaurant on the right. After turning the driveway is the next right.

The chicken Pot pie made my mother smile. Great food service with a country charm. Great place for the seniors amongst us.

Visit at noon for lunch. Parking Lot was full and under repair but found space easily. Seat quickly near a window to watch parking lot repair. Ordered from lunch/dinner menu - meatloaf. Came with three sides - more than enough food. Order arrived quickly. Meatloaf was on the dry-side. For the price - the meal filling.

We go to Crackerbarrel often and always have great service and great food, but on a recent visit with 7 of us, I was surprised at what happened. We all ordered separate meals and two of us had ordered a meal that included biscuits and gravy. When they brough t the food, one of the other people had a "small" side dish of gravy and a plate of biscuits placed with this breakfast. I told the server that I had also ordered biscuits and gravy. His response was that what he brought was for us to share! There were 4 biscuits which was fine, but for us to "share" a small bowl of gravy ????? If we ordered separate meals, then we should get separate servings of biscuits and gravy!!!! It was not the most professional way to serve brakfasts! Also, we always wonder why they do not serve any waffles, whic is a favorite breakfast for many eople?

Heavy carb loads. Skimpy on the good stuff. Spend your money at another place unless you're needing to put on weight.
