“Splendid”
Reviewed 15 October 2011

A "Must" visit if you like good food. Primarily southwestern and Tex/Mex. Very health minded as well, with a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. Price cannot be beat with generous portions, as well as food that cannot be any better. Never been seen before breakfast menu also. I've eaten there twice for dinner and once for breakfast. The inside decor is genuine frontier motif and also outdoor tables with live music on certain days. Five Star quality, selection, atmosphere, prices and service that cannot be matched.

“A Nice Surprise”
Reviewed 11 August 2011

From the outside, Buffalo Zach's looks like it might be just another mundane, small-town diner/carryout. One look inside, and it's a different trip entirely. First thing you see might be the pastry/dessert case, containing an assortment of not-your-everyday delicacies, including cannoli. Next you might notice the homey lounge area, where free-wi-fi and comfy couches and armchairs allow patrons to sip their coffee and try one of those pastries while surfing the Internet. Then you're struck by the wildly eclectic dining room, decorated in an over-the-top Wild West theme that's almost a work of art in itself. Clearly the owners care about standing out from the pack.

The menu includes an assortment of sandwiches and roadhouse items you might expect to encounter in any typical cafe/diner, but with an important distinction: the results are better -- (for example, when compared with joints that serve only dishes produced from pre-frozen, mass-produced restaurant-supply ingredients); in other words, Buffalo Zach's tries a little harder.

Service is informal and friendly; they seem to really care that you enjoy your visit. Prices are very reasonable; patrons accustomed to paying for a comparable meal in the big city will leave feeling they got a real bargain. A great place to stop, relax, and refresh.
