My wife and I went out for dinner in celebration of a milestone anniversary but were underwhelmed by Patria. First we were seated under a light that made you feel that you were on display in comparison to the majority of the seats. The service was very solid but the food was underwhelming for the cost of a premium restaurant. I had the shrimp cocktail which was solid with a nice presentation while my wife had the swordfish appetizer that was bland and tasteless. For the main course I selected the veal parm and my wife had the filet. The veal was very thick and not ultra tender, the filet seemed good but not great for the price point. The portions were quite large so there was no complaint there. I had a side of asparagus that was over cooked. For the two of us the bill was over $160 but we did have a bottle of wine from a decent wine list.
All in all I would be willing to give them another shot as I can see that it could be better, but it wasn't this time.

We chose this restaurant based on the many reviews and maybe we chose the wrong items but 3 of the 3 we ate were not the best. To start with something positive the wait staff were very pleasant and professional and the portion sizes large. The food however not the greatest. The calamari was overly coated so much that it was all you could taste however maybe they did that to hide the less than fresh rubbery calamari. The mussels were small which can happen depending on the source but we found quite a few had sand in them which should not happen if cleaned properly. We chose the margherita pizza which sounded delicious and could have been had they not used whole canned plum tomatoes. This pizza would have been much better with fresh sliced tomatoes as the pizza would not have been so soggy and the tomatoes overpowering . We actually removed most of the tomato off the pizza to try to enjoy it more. Very disappointed.

Patria is the Italian themed restaurant at the Seneca Allegany Casino. But do not be deceived into expecting red checked tablecloths and red sauce and meatballs, although they do serve that as an item on the menu. The truth is, Patria has an imaginative chef with an eye toward traditional Italian cuisine as opposed to the Italian American type covered in gooey cheese variety that most "Italian " restaurants tend to offer. There are some really great specials on a daily basis, based on fresh homemade pasta and seafood or braised meats, seasoned lightly with herbs, lemon, wine or rich meat based sauces. The seasonal tasting menu offers a way to try some different dishes, and can be ordered as separate items to keep the cost down. There are some wonderful salads with a true Italian flavor ( the Patria salad and the roasted beet and goat cheese are two of our favorites) and a salad and one of the special appetizers is really enough for a light dinner, the pastas can all be ordered in half portions as well, a healthy and more economical way to go if you so desire. The atmosphere is nice: clubby with a big fireplace and pretty curved booths, not too noisy, and of course is smoke free. The wine list is pretty extensive if you know what you are choosing, the servers are very efficient, and Joe, the manager, is most helpful. If you go, try something new instead of the typical lasagna. It is good of course, but you won't get a feel for the chef's talents if you do that. Highly recommended; a great place to go with friends. You will enjoy your meal and the atmosphere and everyone will leave relaxed and happy.

First trip here, but I will definitely return. We shared the calamari app and it was huge and more than enough for two. We both had a glass of Cabernet which was to our liking although nothing to write home about. My partner really enjoyed his Rigatoni Bolognese. I had the clams with linguine and white sauce and it was good, but it seemed to me they used a chicken stock instead of clam juice as a base which is the main reason I did not give the food a 5. It wasn't the flavor profile I was expecting to taste.
