And a recently renovated kitchen preparing a broad menu to fine standards. We reserved (a good idea on a busy weekend in full summer season) mid afternoon and were seated to a table for four on the outside deck right above the smoothly flowing river that flows out of Flower Lake. The service was relaxed and considerate and allowed our group plenty of conversation time. The we ate lamb, steak, salad, and vegetables and enjoyed all our dishes as well as well nicely paired matching beverages. While not inexpensive, the quality was there to match the price points. You'll like this place.

Stumbled upon this..was not recommended to us by anyone and we couldn't believe our good luck to find it. Adorable, large Parisian like café on a river bank with indoor and outdoor seating. We were there for lunch but perused dinner and breakfast menus. All simple but extensive at the same time and a well chosen wine list. Excellent service from beginning to end. Lovely food, Lovely Lovely way to end our stay in Saranac. Can't wait to go back and try dinner.

This restaurant is a delight! We were saddened a few years ago when our favorite restaurant in Saranac closed due to the building being sold. We have found a new one finally! This is not a place to be missed if you are in the area. The atmosphere is casually chic, the decor is charming and the food, the food is divine. The crepes are perfect and exquisitely flavorful. The tartines are savory and amazing. The desserts must not be missed. The food is perfect and authentic. The serving staff is delightful as are the chefs. I cannot wait until next year to eat here again! Again, this restaurant is a delight!

There was only one dinner menu. We were told to share it.
Ordered appetizers--wrong order arrived.
Waitress was rude about mistake.
No salt or pepper on table.
45 minutes passed.
When asked waitress if meal was coming she was rude and sarcastic.
Bread arrived after meal was eaten. Then salt and pepper were put on table. Waitress gave the impression she hated us personally--we couldn't figure out why at first but by the end of the meal were pretty wretched!
Pretty setting--food was actually ok if skimpy portions.
Bad date.

My wife and I had just arrived in Saranac Lake for a three night stay. We selected this establishment based upon the advice of the operator of our B&B. As this was the middle of the week, there were few patrons and we were able to obtain an outdoor table along the river which exits Lake Flower. The staff was very friendly and prompt. Our meal was very good. This proved to be a wonderfully romantic way to celebrate our rapidly approaching wedding anniversary.
