“A true Treasure in this Charming ADK City.”

True craftsmanship in these handcarved animals. A long time in coming but so worth all the time and hard work creating this machine.Once around is never enough as it is fun for both children and adults. Well worth the visit and the staff is wonderful. Plan a birthday party there for the kids.

“Lovely and Nostalgic!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

As a person who saw the process of this treasure of this wonderful town I was thrilled to see the finished product. It is absolutely lovely and wonderful to watch, also to ride. The creatures that make up this carousel are of the Adirondacks and are so beautifully constructed, the colors and forms are truly a wonder of nostalgia for adults and children alike.

“A small ....but charming.... new take on a Carousel.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014

We stopped here for a quick visit while in Saranac Lake. Having grown up in Broome County NY where carousels were donated by the Endicott Johnson Shoe factory to the various towns in the area, I have a special fondness of the rides. Although this was much smaller than a "classic" Merry-Go-Round, the carvings were perfect for the location. The small playground would also delight young children and provide a quick, and inexpensive way to expend some pent up energy of young travelers. Well done Saranac Lake!

“Wonderful rainy day stop while crossing the Adirondacks”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

Wonderful, friendly staff overseeing this remarkable, local hand carved gem! On a rainy day we stopped in, bought a 7 ticket pack, and the kids had a ball choosing different hand carved animal and finding the lady bugs on each of house. The community clearly loves and takes care of this carousel. Worth a stop!

“Great for the whole family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

We celebrated my daughter's 5th birthday by taking her to the Carousel. The Carousel is built like none other - the carousel animals are all hand carved and built by local artisans. Adults and kids are able to ride. The employee working there that day, Marty, heard it was our daughter's birthday and even played a carousel type rendition of the Happy Birthday song. Great fun - we'll definitely be back!
