“Decent Buffet”
Reviewed 9 May 2014 via mobile

I came here for a large business event and had dinner from their buffet. The food was average/good; a pretty good pasta dish with mushrooms & pesto, salad with nice spring mix greens, good dinner rolls, and tasty roasted potatoes.

The dining room had doors out to a courtyard, which was great. The dining room and the building itself has a quaint, old feeling, with the narrowish hallways, papered walls, and wood fixtures. It seems like the perfect place to have a B&B, really, especially set in a town with so much to do within walking distance.

The staff & service were helpful and pleasant, and had set the room up well. It was a nice dinner that went neither too fast nor too slow.

“Very Good Food; Nice Ambiance”
Reviewed 28 December 2013

Two couples had dinner on a Friday night. The dining room, which was about a quarter full, was nicely decorated with an atmosphere of an old country inn. The separate adjacent bar had live music, and you can order from the dinner menu as well as a lighter fare menu.
The service was attentive and professional.
The food was fairly priced - entrees in the twenties, and the portions were good.
All of the items that we had, squash soup, roast duck, talapia, brisket, and the accompaniments, rice, sweet potatoes, mixed vegitables, and asparagus were all very good. It was a very nice dining experience and we would go back.

“Excellent food, lovely old dining room”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

Selected this at random, as our own hotel was remodelling the dining room. Good choice. Lovely comfort food made to local recipes, and huge portions. If you've got space, try the sweets - lovely! Not the cheapest of places, but excellent value. Friendly, prompt service.

“Nice dinner with friends”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

We chose this restaurant because we could walk from our hotel. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. There were no complaints. But no one was raving about the dinners. They were not that busy and a few people said their food was cold. I did not pay for dinner but felt they were a might high for the ambiance and quality of the food.
