“EVERYTHING DONE RIGHT”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 April 2014

This was a very pleasant and truly wonderful dining experience. Just the right ambience, elegant décor, and the ultimate in professional service. The pace was perfect; the waitstaff, prompt and friendly; you never had to be concerned with your glass running out of water, and; all the while being made to feel perfectly relaxed, comfortable and happy dining in casual attire.

The food was wonderful, too, and the portions weren't ridiculously small as they could be for a Restaurant Week restaurant. My choices for this special event were the Cream of Parsnip Soup to start; I'd never had it before, but being a lover of parsnip, I had to try it, and it did not disappoint...great flavor! The main course for me was the Braised 1/2 Chicken; this came in a sherry cream sauce with mushrooms...wonderful flavor and more than adequate portions of both chicken and pasta! For dessert I chose the Chocolate Hazelnut Pot De Crème; was expecting something like a mousse, but it was much better than mousse. It was so good, that although the portion size was perfect, I definitely wanted more! The sweet glass of wine I had with dinner was perfect, too! Even the bread, crackers and breadsticks were delicious! The only drawback to the night was that the coffee was only average.

Chris, my seasoned waiter, was about the best there could've been. On the ball, friendly, exercising perfect timing every step of the way, but was not overly persistent or annoying in any way...really knew how to do things right and make your meal relaxing and very enjoyable. Just for that alone, I'll be returning. I was in and out in an hour and 15 minutes, without rush.

The food here is really upscale, as is the restaurant itself, located at the very end of the entrance road to Saratoga National Golf Course. This is so good, locals should be coming here for a weekly visit. They also cater here for special occasions.

Fun spot for a crowd. Always full and lively. The wait staff is supreme, the food outstanding and the cocktails truly great. The portions are huge so don't over order!

“Wonderful Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 March 2014

We had been to Prime twice before for an organized events and had been very impressed with the atmosphere, food, and service. Last night was our first time for dinner and we were lucky to have seen a Living Social special. The menu: multi-course complete dinner for two including 36 oz porterhouse steak (two types of beef-strip and filet), choice of house chopped salad or Caesar salad, fresh chevre popover, roasted garlic and peppers, choice of three specially prepared veges (brussel sprouts, asparagus, or creamed spinach), garlic mashed potatoes or truffle oil french fries, plus three delicious-sounding desserts. We truly could not have asked for a better dinner or experience. We started with two excellently made cocktails (cosmo and sapphire gimlet) and had a malbec to accompany our dinner. The chopped salad was supreme (tangy with white balsamic and crunchy vege chop -red onions too, and creamy avocado), the meat was truly prime and cooked perfectly. EVERY part of our dinner had special flavors and beautiful presentation. Our serving team (Tom and Jerry--not kidding, real names) were enjoyable- professional and efficient yet personable. They thought of every possible way to make the evening an unforgettable experience (including a handwritten happy birthday on our fancy dessert and a small gift as wonderful surprises). In addition, our host was friendly and I even had a wonderful conversation with the coat check "girl" (a high schooler who is definitely going places with great personality and goals). Thanks for a fabulous evening to all involved and treating us as A1 special guests!

If your seeking a special place for a special time this is it. Took my family here for my daughters 50th bday. Three adults and two teens who love to eat. All rated this " the best ever". From the wide variety of choices to the impeccable service you will sure to be pleased and while thei steaks are featured, don't miss the sea bass and chicken dish. Check the menu, prices and your appetite . The portions are very generous.
