“Cute, Clean, Comfy”
Reviewed 11 October 2011

Good location close to downtown - across from Congress Park, a few blocks from the shopping district on Broadway. We found a really good room rate and, therefore, had low expectations. But we had a pleasant, comfortable stay. The hotel is very old, dated in areas, but very clean. And I'm picky about clean. We stayed in a king room with a beautiful (new) 4 poster bed with a new mattress, clean bedding, comfy pillows. The bed was so charming, I was almost able to overlook the rest of the furnishings which were dated. (But, really, who cares?) The room was affordable, cute, clean, comfy. Super quiet, too. The staff was pleasant. The breakfast included in the price was very good. Just make sure you arrive early or it will be picked over. At night, the quaint front porch is a nice place to enjoy a glass of wine. It's not the Four Seasons, but I can't afford the Four Seasons, so I will enjoy this hotel again someday.

Nice central hotel in Saratoga Springs. Yes it's quite old but that's sort of part of it's charm. Nice breakfast, big room, in a quiet area within walking distance of downtown.

Visited Saratoga Springs durin the racing season and stayed at the Inn. Close to downtown with access to the park, resturants and bars. Not exceptionally fancy, but reasonably priced, good service and clean rooms. Food at the resturant was pretty good too. I would stay there again.

The Inn at Saratoga is, like others have said, old and tired. We stayed just one night and would not have wanted to stay any longer. The best part is that the staff really is very friendly and attentive. When we checked into our room and complained about a very unpleasant odor (it reeked of cigarette smoke), we were immediately moved to another (nicer room). But we wondered why the odor hadn't been detected and removed already by housekeeping. The rooms were spacious and the second room we were offered had beautiful furnishings. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. There was some evening noise - it seemed there was a party going on outside - but it wasn't too loud and didn't last too late, so it did not disrupt our sleep. The breakfast was okay, but when we went, there were no tables that were clean although there were several that were empty. I don't know if they don't clean up after guests leave or if they just didn't have the staff to clean, but we ended up taking our breakfast back to our room rather than sit and eat over someone else's crumbs and coffee stains. The location of the inn is nice. It's not in the thick of the shopping/restaurant district, but it's only about two blocks away and is easily walkable.

We stayed at the Inn for 1 night during racing season and I wish it had been longer. Loved sitting on the front porch for cocktails in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Free continental breakfast offered a nice variety of items. Beds were very comfortable and room was quiet despite being on the main road. Easy walk to the main area of dining and shops.
