I agree with the reviews below; Mrs. London's is the real deal, in the middle of Saratoga Springs. We had hoped to have lunch, but the line discouraged us (I believe they had just opened for the season). However, we returned for a baguette and coffee to snack on for the ride home. The coffee was first rate, and the baguette was THE BEST I have ever had outside Paris! Don't think of it as a coffee shop or even a lunch counter; it's a bakery.

We stopped in for a late night snack after a long day at the races. We were curious and anticipated a delicious desert after reading the reviews. To start, the tables were FILTHY. Then, a staff member was sweeping the floors right under our feet. The place was open for another hour!! The pastries tasted as though they had been sitting in the showcase for two weeks. Our coffee and cappuccino ... Ice cold. Then our friend, a little roach, crawled up our table to say 'hello'. End of story. Left our cold coffees and rock hard deserts for mr. roach. Picked up something at dunkin' donuts on the trip back to our hotel. Do not understand the hype. We won't be back. Ever.

I am not sure why this place held the No. 1 spot for Saratoga restaurants on Trip Advisor for so long (I see that it is now No. 2). Maybe TA should have separate categories for restaurants and cafes/coffee shops, as it does for hotels and B&Bs.

We called in for hot chocolate, which was nice enough. We didn't eat, but the cakes looked good.

The place was very cramped and felt a bit run down. The ladies' toilet was next door, in Max London. The lighting in the toilet was very poor - difficult enough for customers to be able to see clearly, so presumably the cleaning staff have the same problem.

Mrs London's is okay, for a coffee shop.

We stopped in for afternoon coffee and pastries. The staff behind the counter seemed snobby and were unhelpful. Instead of describing any available sandwiches, one young lady just pointed to the pre - made items in the case. Had biscotti and cookies, which were good but pricey and not outstanding.

Mrs. London's is renowned for the best pastries around. Just when you think that what you're eating is the best thing you've had, you try something new and that's your new favorite. The smell of the place is enough to make you swoon with happiness. Stop in for a genuine treat and then take some home.
