We found Miss Lucy's from a website listing places to eat well on the road. We were traveling from Pennsylvania to Vermont. It was delightful to avoid the greasy fare at the travel rest stop and find a wonderful place with a delicious menu. There was something for all, from the baby to the vegetarian to the carnivores, and we were all pleased with our meal. It was only a few minutes off the main highway and WELL worth the effort.

Being local people and hearing pretty good things about Miss Lucy's we decided to stop in for lunch today. It was rainy and sounded like a nice, relaxing thing to do. It's hard to describe. The staff was working tiredlessly, but seemed a bit inexperienced. The interior very inviting and cute. We ordered a glass of wine, it was poured, and after seeing our glasses sitting at the bar for 10 minutes, we got up to get it ourselves. We waited at least a half hour for burgers. Folks coming in after us, were served before us. We are extremely patient people and did want to relax, but it was a bit much. We probably won't be back. The burgers were very good, the fries were warm, but ok. No one ever came to check in with us. We ate, paid and left.

I ate here alone for lunch and I am trying to eat mostly vegies. I had a wonderful carrot vegan soup and arugala salad. Not a ton of choices if you are vegetarian, but enough....The dessert menu looked sublime. They had rhubarb sorbet, they had some kind of fruit bread pudding, the list was huge...

Nice seating with decor just a little too cutesy. I've had brunch here twice and dinner twice. Brunch items are excellent and very fresh. Dinner was perfect once (the shrimp and grits) and disappointing once (grilled whole fish that had been pre-cooked before it was grilled, making it mushy inside). If the level of food prep was more consistent, and the decor less contrived, this restaurant could be so much better.
