This is the one of the nicest B&B's that we've ever stayed in. We spent 4 nights and caught some great fall weather in the peak foliage week. Very high quality and well kept house and grounds, with a very interesting history. Rooms are nicely decorated and furnished, good sized, and comfortable. Breakfast included is high quality, homemade, and plentiful. The location was perfect for us...2 miles north of the I-87 exit 28 and the village of Schroon Lake. It is in a rural setting and you are just far enough away from the village and traffic to make it really peaceful. This is an excellent location to access the high peaks at Elk Lake (14 mi west), Keene Valley (27 mi north) and Lake Placid/Whiteface (46 mi northwest). Gore Mtn is also close by to the south (36 mi). Phyllis is a wonderful hostess and provides a very high level of personalized service and really makes you feel at home. The price is a real bargain for what you get, especially when compared to Lake Placid or Lake George prices.
