My whole family enjoys Stokoe Farms in the fall. I recommend going in the first couple of weeks that it opens because the closer it gets to Halloween the longer the lines get. They do a great job of keeping things moving and offer so many many things to do. New this year was a TV to check in on the NFL games and my husband appreciated that as we go on Sundays. Fun for all the kids, ages 2 to 10 for us.

We have been coming to Stokoe Farms in Scottsville, NY for 13 years for our Christmas Tree. I don't know if they changed management within their family, but this year our experience was subpar and pretty disappointing. They used to have reindeer, a live nativity scene with a donkey, sheep, lama; singing chickens (animatronic display), free hot cocoa and delicious cookies. When we first went in 2000 and 2001, the cookies were big soft homemade type and they even had sleigh rides. We were surprised this past Saturday to find tons of people, but no reindeer, no big inside display, no animals except some kind of cow at the nativity, no music playing there, the chicken coop was open, but the chickens didn't sing, dirty bathrooms, and the barn with the hot cocoa was littered with paper cups. Sadly, there was a sign that said "Sorry, All Out of Cookies." We did get a beautiful tree and bought a wreath. I heard someone ask why they didn't hand out donuts since they were out of cookies and they were making the donuts right where the cookies usually are handed out. One of the workers replied," I wish I could give you a donut but the management says no." This has been a nice family run business for years that had lots of TLC. Somehow it appears that making a buck and skimping on the magic is their new business plan. Hope the management hears this loud and clear or we won't be back!

Brought the whole family for some October fun. We rode all the tractors and the kids loved all the attractions they had especially the big slides. They have food drinks and fresh made donuts everyone loved. I would recommend this place to any friend or family.

We went to Stokoe farms on a picture perfect Sunday afternoon. What a great place to spend some time! There are lots of things to do that will appeal to everyone.

The farm activities are open after September on the weekends. The entrance fee is $9.75 for everyone over 2, if you prepay online for a 5 pack of tickets they throw in a 6 pack of fresh cider donuts (and they were quite tasty). For this fee there are quite a few activities to enjoy.

There is a small petting zoo with coin fed machines to get animal feed. There is also a chicken coop with chicks, someone comes by every so often to let the kids hold them. There is a "train" ride nearby aimed at the smaller kids, a small tractor pulls cars decorated as farm animals. There is a playground and a spider web made of ropes that the kids can play on.

Next to these is a short nature trail with interpretative signs. There is also a large slide in the middle of the trees. This then takes you to a large steep hill that has slides on it. Next to this are the zip lines, there are lines for both kids and adults. The line for this tends to be pretty long but its a nice ride down if you care for that sort of thing.

Farther into the farm is a small corn maze, there are pedal carts set up to go around a small course and "wagon" wheels that the kids can get in and roll back and forth. There is an area to launch pumpkins but this has a small fee. Near the entrance there are also 2 jumping pillows that are very popular with the kids.

There are tractors pulling wagons that go past each attraction and this is nice when the little ones (and the not so little ones) get tired of walking. Last, there is an area for the kids full of corn that they can play in (sort of like a sandbox), this area has ample seating and a flat screen TV. There is a gift shop and 2 places to purchase food, basic grill type stuff and snacks like the fresh donuts, kettle corn and so on. Food prices were reasonable although on the higher side.

Staff were very friendly and everyone is courteous and knowledgeable.

I would recommend a trip out here with the kids as a nice day trip!

I have taken my kids and significant other there for years. It's a nice ride and the atmosphere bring you back in the day. It is delightful to vist buy a tree and make a day of it!
