Clark's Fish House was just over the road from an apartment we had rented for a Saturday night in February. It turned out not only to be very convenient, as we had our four week old grandson with us, but also great food and very friendly service. No problems with bringing the pushchair in and very obliging in letting us go out through a non-exit door to avoid the steps.

The clam chowder and fish and chips were as good as it gets - but unfortunately no mushy peas! Seemed to be a small but well balanced wine list and some nice bottles of craft beers.

All in all a great find.

We went to dinner at Clark's Fish House tonight, been meaning to try it but they don't take reservations, so avoided during the summer. The meal was a 10 out of 10. The setting is a basic fish restaurant, not fancy at all, but the service was friendly, efficient and prompt. I had a rosemary-infused fish chowder (red) with just the right amount of bite. The Peconic Bay scallops were fresh-caught, and I had them sauteed. As if that weren't enough, my husband had the key lime pie that I shared, best I ever ate. Ever. The setting might not be to everyone's liking, but it certainly was to mine!

Clark's comes highly recommended, but one of us wasn't impressed. The blowfish Cajun-style were good. The local sea bass was okay, but no better than competent home-cooking. The baked potatoes had a strangely sweet flavor. The ambiance is simple and attractive, except for the overhead lighting. Friendly service. The homemade key lime pie was great!

The ambiance is okay and the food is average. The most irritating part was a $ 5 sharing
charge although it was not indicated on the menu and not told to us by waitress.

We went to Clarks after 18 Bay and had a much better meal at less than half the price. The fish was very fresh and well prepared. We shared a bottle of wine which was very good and well priced. They take no reservations but since we were there off season we had no trouble getting a table. Service as good and we enjoyed out dinner.
