This was my first B&B experience and I couldn't have been more delighted. Peg and Jim have done an incredible job restoring their house. You get the best of two worlds - gorgeous antiques and Victorian decor blended with modern conveniences. Meticulous care has been taken in each room. If you have allergies or asthma this is a great place to be - hardwood floors throughout, no pets and every room kept in pristine condition. My room upstairs included a new modern bathroom, new a/c and a spacious room with antique furnishings. Peg pays attention to the small touches to make the whole house feel comfortable and welcoming. She is attentive to your every need and serves a wonderful hot breakfast. It is a quick and beautiful drive to Colgate University in nearby Hamilton. I would highly recommend the Pillow and Pantry.

When visiting family, all we needed was a comfortable room with a private bath. What we found at Pillow and Pantry was that and more. It's a gem! Jim and Peg have done a beautiful job restoring the house so that it has Victorian charm with modern amenities. Our room had a comfortable queen-sized bed, with pillows of assorted firmness. Ceiling fans and an air conditioner kept the temperature to our liking. Ample closet space accompdated our clothes and luggage. The bathroom had a large shower and spacious vanity. Free WiFi allowed us to access the internet. Peg goes out of her way to add special touches and personalize little things to make one's stay delightful - including providing tasty and healthy breakfasts to accomodate our preferences. Peg and Jim have created a wonderfully warm and welcoming environment in which to stay - it's now our home away from home.

Staying at the Pillow and Pantry in Sherburne, NY was a delight. It’s picture perfect facade and garden entry was just the beginning of a fairy tale. The owners Peg and Jim Jeffrey have refurbished the Victorian period woodwork and furniture all through the house. Together with modern conveniences their attention to detail, I appreciated both the visual aspects of the house and all the comforts of home provided.

The warmth of their personalities was always present, from their initial welcoming to yummy custom breakfasts. Peg knew what we needed before we did. The rooms were scrubbed clean and decorated perfectly within the time period. We wanted to see all the other rooms as they all had a different feel.

Sitting on the porch at dusk amongst all of Jim’s colorful daylilies was a real treat. Strolling the sidewalks past this gem made living in the past come alive again. Thank you Peg and Jim!

We were in town for a wedding in July. The bride and groom to be told us about this place. We had our choice of rooms. Our friends took the downstairs room. It was very nice. Just like being at home. We took one of the rooms upstairs. Both rooms had their own bathrooms and AC. The whole house is beautiful. Peg and Jim were great hosts. We had drinks and snacks available. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. We can't say one bad thing about our stay. You won't be disappointed with your stay.

This pleasant Inn located in rural upstate NY was really a wonderful surprise. The owner/hostess, Peg, has put so much love and personal attention into this house that it was just a pleasure to turn every corner and witness its magnificence. You'll find a beautifully restored period Victorian which is walking distance to some local eateries, a short 10 minute drive to a cluster of antique shops, and also near to Colgate University. The guest rooms (there are three) were all clean and pleasantly decorated with ample room to move around and stow your things; the bathroom was immaculate, and the bed was very comfortable. Access to WiFi is available. In the common rooms you will find TV, books, or just a quiet place to sit and enjoy your thoughts. Peg and her husband are warm and welcoming and will bend over backwards to see that your visit with them is a memorable one. I was traveling alone to a family event, but am now looking for an excuse to come and stay here again with my family!
