Saw this Vineyard listed on Trip Advisor. Added it to our places to see while visiting Lake Skaneateles. Actually we didn't see any other vineyards to visit in the immediate area. It's very close to town and a nice stop on a pleasant drive around west side of Lake Skaneateles. The vineyard itself and the building is just beautiful. We are not big wine people, but still like to stop and sample wines if there is a vineyard in the area. The building inside is gorgeous, as well as the patio's outside. The tasting fee was 5 wines for $3.00 and pay at a counter when you come in the door. We selected a 2011 Overture Sparkling Wine to bring home. While it wasn't available when we visited, I believe they offer a nice cheese tray for purchase.

My wife and I visited this August and while the winery itself looks nice, the tasting area is WAY too small, and they have an unusual (and not posted) way of doing tastings. Specifically, you have to purchase a ticket at the front door in order to taste (never had to do this before) and I didn't see anything that stated this. My wife an I waited about 15 minutes for an opening at the tasting bar, and we were then told we had to go to the cashier to purchase tickets. No problem, I went over there, but was told by the rather rude cashier that we were cutting in front of the other patrons who were waiting (who knows who was there first, we were all just standing around waiting to taste). We left without tasting, feeling somewhat embarrassed. Again, very small tasting area and nothing to indicate the procedure. Add to that a rude cashier. We won't be returning. To bad, the grounds looked lovely and we would have loved to have enjoyed some wine overlooking the lake that day and in the future (we're local).

We stopped in at the winery before opening and looked around the grounds. It's a beautiful spot overlooking the lake, and we enjoyed the scenery. Wine tasting was good, $3 for 5 tastes was great value. We bought wine and a platter of cheese and fruit and crackers and spent some time on the deck enjoying the view, the excellent wine and delicious cheese. It was a great experience, the knowledge of the staff, the service, the beautiful building and location made it a memorable experience.
We visited other wineries, this one was the best! We'll be back!

The setting is nice, the building is beautiful, but the wine has a long way to go to match up to other wineries near Seneca and Cayuga lakes. We found the customer service to be very inefficient. We ordered a bottle of "Dry Riesling" for the four of us. We we poured it it was yellow which we thought pretty strange and it was quite sweet to the point we double checked the label. We would not return.
