The tea room is a one person operation, by the owner. When our bill showed an 18% gratuity fee, we were flabigated, since there was nothing in any of the website blogging. Then to add insult to injury; the owner compiled the tax with the gratuity. The final straw came when ger handheld phone (which she "said" had just been reprogramed wouldn't accept my card, After several tries she 'realized' she didn't accept that companies card. Did she take XYZ card/ Yes several tries with this card were met with the same results. Now very disgruntaled, not to mention suspicious, she let it be known that she didn,t like to take checks. After paying cash; we left. as very unhappy campers. Due to these shenanagins, the quality of the food and service became a non-factor in judging Grannie's Tea Room. I just hate to be ripped off.
