“Staten Island's flagship historic attraction”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 January 2014

This is truly the hub of all things historic on Staten Island. Likewise, they are a truly great setting for many year-around activities and special events, worth taking the entire family to, culminating in the September, Richmond County Fair!

“A step back in time”

l always felt like i as born a century too late. Just walking on the grounds brings back dreams of the past. The old buildings placed along the road are a sight to see.

“Love this historic center”

Filled with interesting buildings and information about colonial times. Individuals are in period dress and are quite informative.

“Peaceful and serene”

We used to live about a quarter of a mile away. I would take walks through there quite often. Not as many people visit as before. Their budget does not allow them to restore and fix some of their buildings.

“A Bit of History in a Modern World”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2013

Throughout the year Historic Richmond Town sponsors some great events. The cocktail tasting stands out and one of the most fun. In addition, on a regular basis, music on original instruments is offered with drinks in a grog mug in a very cozy historic building with no electricity. The wood-burning stove and candlelight complete the evening! Great fun.
