“Great surprise find”

This was a charming hotel with very pleasant and accommodating staff. If all hotels could get it this right! It's a beautiful boutique hotel that lovingly restored an old temple building. The staff gave great recommendations of things to do in the area (and we did them!). They printed directions, offered a comp upgrade and really did a wonderful job of customer service for a weekend trip with my teenage son. Can't say enough good things about it. Stay here. Great for romantic weekend getaway or quiet escape.

This is a great place to stay if you need to be in Syracuse for a few nights. It's modern, clean, bright and staffed with lovely people. It is on the smaller and quiet side which we liked. It is within walking distance to Syracuse University and has a parking lot. There is no dining room but there is a coffee/bar and cold options like cereal for a quick breakfast. It is within walking distance to its sister hotels there is full service restaurant with good food.

We stayed here recently for a visit to Syracuse University. Despite a very late arrival check-in at 1:00am went very smoothly - we even got a call from the front desk to let us know we left our car lights on. The room was spacious and comfortable with a look and feel that was much nicer than you would expect for the great rate we had ($109/night). The hotel was just a 5 minute walk to campus and the staff was very helpful pointing us in the right direction, providing maps, and letting us know we could keep our car in the lot despite the fact that we had already checked out. The only downside was the limited offerings for breakfast (coffee, muffins, etc. that you had to pay for), but definitely not a deal breaker. I would definitely stay here again when visiting SU.

A relaxing couples weekend was the reason for our stay! A great place to stay if you don't want to stay in a big chain hotel. Great value.

There is no restaurant in the hotel, but they have a bar and a snack bar. You''ll need a car if you stay here because it's not super close to downtown.

Had to be in Syracuse for a few days for mu wife's surgery which was at Crouse Hospital. This hotel was only a couple a blocks away and that's why I picked it. Also it was advertized as being a small modern boutique hotel. It was all of that and more. The hotel is an old Jewish Temple but the interior has been completely rebuilt. My room was large and the bed was very comfortable. and it had all of the usual extras. In the hotel is a good sized pantry with ready to eat type food.that can be purchased. 0ne to two blocks away are all sorts of small ethnic restaurants that are there because of Syracuse University. I would gladly stay there again.

The Skyler was a great hotel. Every thing was eco friendly and modern accommodations, previuosly a jewish temple and then a theater. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay again if ever in the area.
