Hotel Skyler is more a boutique hotel, a redevelopment of a former "temple". The exterior is striking with amazing elevations and windows and there is plenty of gated free parking. Inside, the lobby includes a breakfast seating area, a small 5-stool bar, a registration / concierge desk, and the breakfast nook.
Our registration was seamless and the concierge very friendly and accommodating. We have some minor mobility issues and with our rooms on the first floor, the ramp feature was much appreciated.
Breakfast was great - lots of healthy choices including juices, yogurt, whole grain breads & cereals, ... as well as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, muffins, juices, ... Breakfast seating is in a section of the lobby. There is no restaurant in the Hotel Skyler.
Our room, while small, was very comfortable, and the king bed was amazing. The TV offered plenty of channels, the wifi was fast & free, and there was plenty of closet & dresser space. The washroom included a large shower; no tub.
For short stays, this is a great spot.More
