We have cruised on the Emita II for years. As an urban school teacher, I needed a "chill out" in the summer. The Emita II offers complete relaxation, no responsibility, and pampering by the crew. In all of the years we cruised on the Emita, we never witnessed a crew member be anything but helpful and gracious. Captain Dan is willing to teach anything about the canal system and is full of tales and anecdotes. Meals are good and there is fruit available all day. This is a low-key trip, a few side trips are optional and interesting. The main draw is the lack of rushing or worrying about anything. Fish jump out of the water, birds and other wildlife watch the boat go by. It is like a scene from the movie "African Queen" from long ago. It has been one of the biggest delights of our summers for years.
