“Amazing Breakfast so close to Hunter Mountain”

I normally do not write reviews however the was an amazing breakfast and excellent service. My husband and I stayed here two nights and we will definitely return. This is run by a husband and wife, whose family also resides on the property. They are always available if needed and recently took over in September 2013. We had an issue with the shower within an hour of arriving and they immediately moved us into a new room, so that wouldn't be an issue for us during our stay. I also am a nursing mother to an infant and they had no problem accommodating us with a mini fridge. The hotel is warm and cozy, and the breakfast couldn't be better. So close to Hunter Mountain and walking distance to Tannersville Main St.

The new owners were very nice and the home made breakfast was great. Very accommodating and easy to find. Close to everything with the feel over a mini getaway. Planning a trip soon for the country music festival.

Amy and Terrance are outstanding hosts and offer highly personalized, cozy and comforting services and accommodations.
Nice, spotless and warmly decorated guestrooms with fireplaces are accommodated by an one-of-a-kind a la card breakfast prepared by Terrance, who truly knows his cooking. We had the lucky opportunity to taste some his party hors d'oeuvres as well and we will be back for more when the hotel opens for dining and wine tasting.
As a bonus the HMB is located in walking distance from Tannersville's Main street with additional bars and restaurants and only 5 car minutes away from Hunter Mountain. All in all a perfect place for a few days away, if you are looking for access to the regions attractions but want an upscale, cozy and accommodating place to come back to in the evenings.

Stayed at HMB last month. Cold weather had rolled in and wanted a cozy place for the two of us to tuck in for the night that was close to hiking trails. HMB far exceeded my expectations. Terrence and Amy were over-the-top accommodating, cooked us a great breakfast, and kept the dining room fire blazing. The ultra clean room and jacuzzi was also very much appreciated. Their beer and wine license is on the way, so things are likely to get even more festive. Will definitely make this our go-to going forward.

Came up for one night from Brooklyn for a night "in the mountains". Arrived around noon and we were able to check in early, which was really nice. The woman at the front showed us the property, the coffee/snack room, breakfast area (included with reservation), showed us our room, how to work the fireplace, etc. She was a wealth of knowledge about the area (hiking, dining, etc.) and made us feel welcomed from the start. From this point forward, it never changed. Our room in the East Lodge was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. No issues at all. Terrance, the owner, recommended a place for dinner which ended up being fantastic (Deer Mountain Inn), as well. As stated by others, the breakfast was also a delight. Terrance and Amy were nice enough to keep breakfast open a little longer while we roled out of bed late (was supposed to be from 8:30 to 10 AM) but we arrived at 10:15 and there was no problem. Overall, a great stay and we will be back!

We stayed here for a weekend during leaf season. The owners Terrence and Amy were wonderful. Terrence is a chef, trained at CIA (Culinary Inst. of America). He made a truly wonderful breakfast which was included in the price. They both went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy. The location is great...within walking distance to the quaint little town of Tannersville with restaurants and shops.

Our stay at the lodge was beyond our greatest expectations. The inn keepers were extremely friendly and offered wonderful dining tips. The breakfast we enjoyed daily was homemade from scratch and excellent. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I can not recall ever staying at a place where there was nothing to complain about, that is until visiting Hotel Mountain Brook, not one complaint! We will definitely return and have already recommended the lodge to all of our friends.
