My wife, chidlren and many extended family went to the Villa for a long weekend. When making the reservation, the people who we spoke to raved about the meals we would eat. However, the choices were limited and what we did eat was poor. We stayed in the upstairs of the main building. The rooms were small and the a/c did not work well. Also, there was not a lot to do on the grounds or in the area. It was overpriced for what we got. The staff however was very nice.

Lee, Nadia, and his family have been absolutely gracious in making our visits to the Villa very memorable experiences. We are no longer guests but are treated like family members. Chef Lee aims to please and his delicious food is a testament to this. Pino and Lino's music kept us on the dance floor all evening. There is always something to do such as playing bocce, swimming, and enjoying the spa. We have met many friends over the years there too. The recently renovated Villa is simply beautiful! We have returned many times to the Villa Vosilla and are planning to make another trip soon.

We decided to try VV because of it's location, we instead had the Best vacation ever. We found the villa to be spotless, beautifully decorated, the room we stayed in had new everything and was very clean. The staff was respectful, kind and helpful. The indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub were always clean and in working condition. Their afternoon games provided by Chuck were fun. What impressed us the most was the sense of family that e felt. We met some of the nicest people ever. Last but not least we have to CONGRATULATE Lee on his amazing menu. The food was the freshest ever and we had some of the best seafood. His rack of lamb was to die for as well as his fresh marinara and bolognese sauce. My husband loved IT so much that we exteded our stay. I have never seen him more relaxed. We look forward to going back as soon as we can and look to have more fun listening to Angela sing and dance to Lino and Pino's musicand enjoy Chef Lee's amazing food. SEE YOU SOON

I stayed at the Villa years ago while skiing at Hunter with my father and found it to be quite tacky back then. I decided to stay here again with my father to reminisce about years past during our weekend ski trip getaway. When we checked into our room we were pleasantly surprised. The room was updated and the beds were quite comfortable. The place is no executive suite, but it is great for the overnight skier looking for a place to crash for the night. The bathrooms could use an update, but I was able to overlook that minor detail as I slept in my comfortable bed. The pool/gaming area is adequate but needs to be updated. It has all the amenities you could ask for (game room, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, showers, etc) but could use a little sprucing up. That being said, I was happy they had these facilities, as many other hotels in the area do not.

Each and every person of the staff we met was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. They even let us use the hot tub facilities after hours when we poitely asked. The Villa is a 4th generation family-run business and it shows. We ha the pleasure of meeting the owner (who is also the mayor of Tannersville) and his sons in the bar. They were very friendly and made us glad that we chose the Villa to stay at once again after all these years.

The next time I travel to Hunter for an overnight trip, I will definitely check room availability at the Villa Vosilla first.

after reading all the reviews i figured this must be a great place with great service.it was near hunter mtn where we were skiing. i made the reservation by phone. i was asked if i wanted 2 dbls or 2 queen. i wanted 2 queen. we arrived and checked in. we had to walk up 2 flights of stairs and then around a hall and up a half flight to our room. the room was small and VERY hot. the beds were 2 doubles. there were dirty towels hanging behind the bathroom door. i went back down and asked for my room with 2 queen beds. the charming man at the desk said i had it. i told him it was 2 double and he said that they are exactly the same size, there is no difference. he said it in a very "i know everything"tone. when i informed him that they were different he said ,"only by an inch if that"...hotel management failure i suspect!i also asked how to lower the heat, he said that the ajoining room had the thermostat and if they had it up high i had to have it hot too.i did not tell him about the towels because if he told me that dirty towels were supposed to be in my bathroom i may have stuffed them in his all-knowing throat. we finally were moved into the hotel room across the parking lot..down all those stairs, carrying all our stuff. this room was large and decent, old but clean. slider door was broken and there was no clock, very poor lighting...dont attemp to read befor bed.we slept well but it was not a pleasant experience. although we had planned to,we did not eat there because the fool who thinks dbl/queen beds are the same thought the food was excellent...didnt trust his knowledge or opinion.

I will definitely be back. The food is out of this world and the service is great. This is a family owned and run resort. The Mr. McGunn is the chef- he really should be on Top Chef- he's that good! Ms. McGunn makes all the desert- the canolis are out of this world. Everything they make is homemade real Italian food- delicious! They treat you like you are part of their family and go out of their way to accommodate every need you could ask for. The beds were comfy and the accomodations were everything you need in a ski resort. Villa Villosa is only a 3 min. drive to Hunter which was great for day skiing and we went to Windham for night skiing. I can't wait to check it out in the summer.
