“Like dining in Spain”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2013

Wonderful, inventive combination of tastes. This restaurant is not to be missed. The hosts are gracious and welcoming. We decided to go with suggestions from our server and were very pleased with the results. The dishes were well prepared and presented. We have dined here several times and each time the selections are varied and interesting. You must go with a minimum of 4 people to allow for ordering and tasting multiple dishes.

“Local Spanish”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 February 2013

Ray does the cooking, Kim makes sure every customer is satisfied. You can plan 3 days ahead and request a paella dinner for 4+ people. If you like paella with a shellfish orientation, this is authentic and excellent. The celery soup was a hit with a variety of subtle flavors. Service was attentive. Several of the dishes come with "ash." This takes a ot of preparation, but I'm not convinced it's worth the fuss. The wine list seems to lean heavily toward expensive wines. I would like to see good, affordable wines on the list. It shouldn't be necessary to spend $50 or more to get a good wine, especially as there are so many reasonably priced Spanish wines. Overall, if you're in the Hudson Valley it's worth a drive of 30 minutes to try Panzur. The restaurant is also very close to Bard College which has numerous cultural events throughout the school year.

“Recommended: Amish Chicken on fall menu”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 November 2012

The amish chicken dish was extraordinary. Our foursome ordered many dishes to share and everything was quite good. By the description, we thought this dish would not be so easy to share, but it had been ingeniously prepared and sliced so that all could easily partake of this sumptuous dish. The atmosphere is wonderful - careful attention to detail gives this restaurant an authentic feel.
