Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing and great accommodation for what you pay! We got our true tuscan experience basing out of this wonderful property while we explored tuscany. Be ready to speak the language with locals in the small country villages- English is not as common as you might think!

We just completed a two week stay, and have already booked for next year. We have been to Italy twice before in our travels, but have never expereinced such peace and happiness as we did here. We had the Jacopo apartment, which gives you views from all angles, as well as a beautiful outdoor space. Gisella and Fortunato are wonderful hosts, full of great information and directions for sight seeing, and we loved their wine as well! Fortunato gives a very informative historical talk and tour of his ancestoral home just that is worth the visit. We revisited many of the historic hill towns on day trips, but also enjoyed just staying by the pool or going for a hike. Ambra, the town about 20 minutes away, has a small restaurant called "Osteria Corte di Bacco" that we ate at three times, excellent food with an Australian host. to help you through the menu. Everyone was so friendly towards us as we shopped for our groceries in the village with our very limited Italian. We have never enjoyed a holiday as much as this one.

Room Tip: For a couple, the one bedroom Jacopo, has the best views and privacy.

We were in a very nice and confortable appartment, perfect views of the valleys and vineyards. It's a place totally recomened to relax; great situation were is possible to relax in the swimming pool or sunbathing, or going to Siena, located about 20 min from Rapale.
The owners are very kind and friendly, they explained us about the history of the village were the farm house is located.
Very good quality/price rate. We stayed 3 weeks in Toscana and between the three places (farmhouses) we stayed, this was the best place for us: they have barbacue and bikes availabe without additional cost!

Our group consist of 8 people and we stayed in Caterina and Edoardo located on the second floor with private access. Both apartments are spacious with full kitchen and amenities, very clean and comfortable. We all had a very good rest and a fresh start for each day of our sightseeing trip in both Chianti and the Brunello Region as well as other attraction around Tuscany. The surrounding atmosphere are great as we were on the hilltop with panoramic view. The road to this place is quite windy but you may forget to breath when you reach there. There are also a large swimming pool and BBQ facilities but we did not use as the weather is a bit cool (for us). The host, Mr. Fortunato and Mrs. Gisella are kind and very friendly. They always give us valuable tips on how to enjoy our days in Tuscany. They also make available in each apartment a book with full information on the villa, the tourist attraction and also the place for dining and hanging-out which are very helpful.

We had only been in our apartment, shutters open with a view of the valleys and vineyards beyond, when we said to ourselves (family members: 7): this is it, this is what we have wanted to experience all our lives, and we will come back. This may sound like excessive enthusiasm from a novice traveller. But we know Tuscany, we had been in Venice for the Biennale, and have travelled to many countries. Why did we love our stay? the most gracious and warm owners one can imagine, a site history going back to the middle ages, a genuine rural character. When at local restaurants, virtually local citizens only. Roses blooming in May. A watercolourists delight. I recall there being, when we discovered Borgo Rapale on the web, a huge number of wonderful comments, to which this is just one small addition.

After anticipating that we were staying in a room in a farmhouse we got a fantastic surprise. One of the farm building behind the owners villa has been converted into 8 apartments. Our was overlooking the Ambra Valley adjacent to a small medieval village. Our apartment had a full kitchen and bbq outside supplied with firewood. It is a 30 minute drive to Bucine for the closest grocery store but the experience is worth the travel. There was a cool breeze that circulated through the apartment. It is the most peaceful place we have ever visited. Fortunato (Lucky) and his wife Gisele are fantastic. Their stories of the history of their home and the area are interesting and they are always available to tell them and to assist their guests. We wish we had been able to stay here for a week. We will definitely be back when we return to Italy.

Room Tip: Ask for the one on the end overlooking the valley.

We had a great time here! Owners were friendly and helpful without interfering. Apartment was large and well stocked. Ambra is the cutest town ever. Great place to escape the crowds and enjoy beautiful Tuscany.
